You are not receiving less labor to make your burger--quite the contrary. Employees are trained to assemble the whopper to "factory specs", so when customers come in and order custom burgers, with more of this and less of that, it takes more thought, and it breaks the routine. They probably put the tomato and pickle on first, and then remove it to accomodate you.
As for not reducing the price, that's pretty simple to figure out, too. The whopper is priced as a complete package. Each little piece of that package is not individually priced for the consumer--therefore, you don't get a price break because you don't require a paper bag, or a cardboard holder. In fact, you're just making things more difficult and holding up the line. If each vegetable and topping were individually priced, it would be a nightmare to assemble these burgers quickly, and an even bigger nightmare to ring you up at the register. AND, just because you don't want your allotted tomato does not mean that Burger King is saving that tomato for someone else--they order their products efficiently, so that there is as little waste as possible. They figure a bun goes with each burger, and a slice of tomato, too. So, if you ask them not to put it on, they're likely going to have to throw it away anyway, when there's excess tomato on the line.
