When I was learning to drive I was taught to use my signals...it is second nature - I will even signal if no one else is around! It amazes me that so many people in Southern California do not feel the need to let any other driver know their intention...(it drives me crazy!!!) I am a foreigner who is well-travelled and I have to admit that Southern California is home to some of the WORST drivers in the country!

Its not the driver, its the make of car. Didn't you know that some older models and even new cars don't come standard with turning signals, they are optional. I see it all the time, I even see it in cars just like mine. I thank the dealership every time I see it, Thanking how lucky I was to get one of the rare and few cars now a days with a turning signal. If you have one in your car too, then you too are awfully lucky as well...lol

Well, unfortunately, all the new cars aren't built with functioning turn signals. Auto makers must have gotten rid of them. This can be the only explanation for why all drivers with the nice cars cannot use a turn signal.

Personally, if I had a nice, shiny new Lexus SUV, I'd use my turn signal, so as to not get hit by someone else, thus rendering the car new, dented, and un-shiny.

I also have problems with people who leave their turn signal ON while driving. If you change your mind, turn it off. Car makers shouldn't have gotten rid of the "tick" noise when you had your blinker on. Whenever you come up to an intersection, you never know when this person will turn, also making you susceptible to an accident.

people are lazy and rude. Some people so this crap on purpose I swear. I love it when they start slowing down (no turn signal) and make a turn all slow. Like what the hell man! Or when they are at a cross road and look both ways a hundred times and pull out in front of you at last minute when there are no cars behindyou and they could of just waited. I guess I give ppl way to much credit to be able to think with logic.

/end rant/

The honest answer is there are alot of ignorant drivers and drivers that just don't care. I agree, So. Cal. has some of the worst drivers in the country (I'm a So. Cal. native saying this!). Many So. Cal. drivers are rude and don't handle changes in weather well when driving.

Because they are either concentrating on something else while driving or they are just plain idiots! Come to think of it, they are idiots either way.
