Not if it's done by a professional and only when you need it and get your teeth cleaned, like twice a year. Now, did you mean to ask about whitening? lol

Just be careful not to use an abrasive polish. You would remove the enamel and the teeth will never be white again. Also, don't polish every day, because it can cause your teeth to become sensitive to hot and cold. Try not to drink soda, tea or smoke and your teeth should only need a polish every 2-3 days. Crest White strips work well and you can wear them anywhere.

If you are talking about bleaching your teeth then you have to watch out.
Get it done professionally by a dentist, don't buy that stuff you see over the counter at drug stores or anything you see on tv.
It will more than likely make your teeth very sensitive. When I was near the end of bleaching my teeth here it hurt! Woke me up from my sleep.

frequent polishing only harms ur teeth.there is a procedure called Bleaching it will give ur teeth a white look.u have to go to dentist for that.Any BDS can do that treatment.Dont overabuse ur teeth by brushing them for more than 10 minutes.thats the maximum time u can brush ur teeth without harming them. be gentle with ur teeth .take proper care dont take them for granted as a dentist i can tell u that proper prevention is must for stain free teeth.

Yes it does. Polishing can release bacteria from the scab between the teeth into the blood stream . These bacteria can directly attack the heart valves to form bacterial vegetation on the valves which when released can obstruct blood supply to some distant tissue causing pain death of that tissue.
also, the showering of bacteria and bacteria products into the blood stream can lead to formation a complex between these products and blood antibodies , the complex so formed then get to the kidney to cause inflammation of the filtering surfaces of the kidney which when prolonged can lead to kidney failure and death eventually if both kidneys are involved.
The problems mentioned above can be prevented by giving the patient a shot of antibiotics to take care of the bacteria to be released by polishing.
