Probably, we are eternal beings who do not really die. As scripture says, my God is not the God of the dead, but the God of the Living.

God through Christ Jesus gives us eternal life.

If human life was really confined to this earth, then death would be something horrible, and life would be tremendously worse.
If I believed that my life would absolutely end soon, why should I not use all my powers and tricks to secure the enjoyment to maximum all the pleasures of this life, why should I care about other people, why should I take the harship of learning? And how the world would become with fiercer fightings among men like lower creatures for physical pleasures?!
But, the Almighty God would never allow such thing occurs. Through His Progressive Revelation from time immemorial, He has inculcated into all human minds a conscience, a sense of shame and a hope for something better beyond this earthly life. Even people who claim to be atheists also could not deny their conscience and their hope beyond this world. That is why, despite all sorts of disputes which ignite new sparks of light, men are able to live with higher dignity in an ever-advancing civilization.
Yes, no one can escape the all-compassionate, all-victorious power of the One True God.

Problem is, they won't all die, since many will live through Armageddon, than there are the ones who are resurrected to eternal (not immortal) life on Earth. Only those in heaven have immortal life. But, neither will have any further use for the Bible, as it is a history of the old system of things, and all things will be new. Plus, people will again have full use of their brains, with total recall. So, there may not be any Bibles to thump, especially since there will no longer be anyone around except those who have dedicated their lives to serving God.

Actually, we won't have to, we can HUG Him, Jesus the living Word of God will be there in person in all his splendor. The Bible is the written Word of God, a shadow of the One it portrays compared to the real living item, but someday, when all of life is over, Jesus will live and dwell among us and I don't think we will be "thumping" Him... haha And then we shall have the whole reason the Bible was written right in front of us... and I really hope I am not casting my pearls before swine here...

Nah, no need for the Bible then. "Bible thumpers"... I am assuming you mean Christians that don't back down... will not need the Bible... we will be in heaven with the Lord. We will not need his written word when we are in his presence.

Theoretically after death they should have obtained what they were thumping their bibles for, all along. Therefore, thumping no longer required.

Probably not seeing that there wont be anyone there they need to try to convert nor would there be any reason too. Cause the only reason they do that is they believe they need to in order to get to heaven. So once they get there they will stop. That's only if there really is a heaven which I don't believe there is.

They won't after physical death. At that point they'll realize what fools they were, wasting a lifetime. Christmas isn't even celebrated in the heavens because it's a sham.

Once they realize that their beliefs did not match reality, after their expected images go away to reveal the truth, some are angry, many confused...until they see that the reality is better than what they had been taught.
