Given enough time.......anything that sweats and is confined by clothing will start to smell...feet, groin etc.
A daily shower and a little deodorant will work wonders.
A little useless information you might be interested in is that deodorant is a cosmetic because it doesn't interfere with normal metabolic functions. An anti-perspirant, on the other hand is a drug because it impedes the function of apocryn glands.

Other areas have a chance to 'breathe'...or evaporate the sweat before bacteria begin to grow...it is also true that the crotch and buttocks suffer from the same problem as armpits and on physical examination of some women...my toes curled!

Because the air doesn't get to that area to dry it out and when you sweat it stays smelly time after time until you wash it..

One word...bacteria
Everyone has bacteria on their skin. the folds and creases of your skin are great places for it to multiply and make baby bacteria when mixed with sweat. Germs like warm, dark, moist places. So there you go.
