I know a person who is cheating the Australian Government of not only GST but personal tax as well. This lady is appearing more and more not stable for her age in dress and living conditions.
She drives an unsafe car has a ton of tickets and has an I don't care additude.
She intends that if she gets "caught" she will just quit and go on the dole she doesnt care. She is trying to arrange to leave the country before that happens ( I dont know if she will or not )
I have talked to the police once already about her they have done nothing. Besides her I dont care additude she is extremely in bad health , very over weight and her boss allows her to work up to 16 hours a night
She needs help to stop her before she hurts herself or someone else but who do you turn to if the police dont listen ?..She has a sister but she only seems to care what she can get from her ...no one else cares .. her attidude and illeagal ways are streaching the friendship that we had to a breaking point

I have known her close to three years and watched her rapid decent into these problems .. She weighs maybe close to 450lbs now can hardly breathe has shoulder problems and still is allowed to keep driving.
She just wont seek help. working those 16 hour days to buy a thousand dollar pair of earring but not to pay her taxes
The tickets that she has she juggles them delying court times so that all the points dont come off at once.
Its sad to watch a friend go down hill so badly. She doesnt listen to anything that I have to say about the subject. Says she "can't be bothered "
I am afraid she will kill someone with those careless ways

I see someone who is doing very wrong both with the government and herself.
Its like she is crying out to be stopped but not listening

Put what you have said in writing. One to her employers and one to the police. Usually something in writing has more substance and you will have their reply in writing which can be firm evidence in the case anything should happen. Enclose a s.a.e. Good luck. You are a very caring person.

If she is cheating the government out of money, as you say (taxes, specifically) the police may not care but the revenue department certainly would. You could report her there, and as for her driving I can't understand why she can continue to drive a cab when she has unpaid driving tickets. I'm from Canada and I'm pretty sure a cab driver would be suspended until they paid their tickets. It's really not her bosses problem if she is in bad health, she does her job and they pay her, that's about as far as that relationship goes.
Surely there is some agency you can contact about her driving in Australia if she is really that dangerous. As for the rest of it, it sounds like she needs psychological help. There's not much you can do besides drugging her and dragging her limp body into a mental home or psychiatrists office...

You have to understand that POLICE would not get involved unless is a criminal matter...Now, if she endanger to herself or others it has to be an imminent threat, otherwise police cannot help. I'm sure that you could contact Social Services if you're really really concerned about her welfare.

As long as I get where I wanna go, safely and efficiently... I don't care what mood the taxi driver is in.
Now then... about this lady who appears to be on a course of self-destruction, call the police again and this time tell them that you believe the lady is going to harm herself, that she is suicidal and has told you so. That ought to do the trick.

You report her to the Australian Taxation Office. They'll check it out and as we are all know are much more powerful than police.

put, it's none of your concern. As long as your doing everything right, nothing else matters.
