How many Mosque have been destroyed in Iraq by the Americans , just go to the city of Fallujah and you will understand that the one who blame Muslims for some things is doing worse than them , In Islam we have to explain everything to the people and they have the right to choose the religion they want , no obligation .

because some of this muslim fanatics are lost from the true teachings of islam itself which is the Al-Quran,Islam is not a forceing religon. I as a muslim will fill very upset if the kaaba is blew up.

I found this very troubling as well. If anything, this act underscored the dangers that Buddhism represents to leaders in some societies. They must have felt, in some way, threatened by these pieces of stone.

It was a theocracy, they viewed the Buddha statues as pagan. Much as how after Christianity went through Europe, Christians would just raid pagan temples and destroy all their statues.
Wholly blaming one religion on intolerance and fanaticism is inaccurate.

Incidentally they do not understand that worshiping a stone at Kabbah is no different from idol worship.
