A pavement is for WALKING not RUNNING. If they want to run they should go to a sports field or park. I once saw a runner run into an old person causing them injury. Small children are also at risk on pavements as well. These joggers seem to think they own the pavement

You don't make a perfectly legal practice illegal because of a few inconsiderate jerks. If we did, driving would be illegal. You simply fine the jerks...or even sue them if the accident was particularly aggregious.

you never know, joggers could be really fast walkers.
what do you think of bikers then? The pavement is open to all. So long as bikers ring their bell, and runners breathe heavily enough for people infront to hear. Or another signal to show they're coming.

no i think like everyone else they need to be considerate of whats in their way. anyone can bump into anyone. they just need to be more cautious of whats ahead.
not everyone has easy access to a park or field suitable for running.
as a runner i don't agree at all. i've never run into anyone and when there's someone ahead, i either run on the side of the road or on the grassy area. it's not hard to avoid a collision if you're paying attention to where you're going.
