It might be good to keep in mind that being patient may help prevent you from being in a bad circumstance. I read that there may be a reason that life puts you in situations where you are made to wait....like maybe, say, if you were driving somewhere, and got caught up in traffic, you were meant to do this in order to avoid an accident or some other bad occurence that may be happening ahead of you. So I think of this when I am made to wait. Maybe I am missing getting caught in a situation that would be harmful to me.

Three years ago, after my second divorce, I took a trip to DC. I really went there to see and old flame, and try to find my self-steem back (which was an obvious mistake, because eventhough I saw him, the self-steem is inside oneself and oneself only), anyway. After my encounter, I decided to go by myself and visit as much as DC as I could in the couple of days I had to myself.
And there I found the most enlighting frase, in FDR memorial:
"learn the greatest of all lesson — infinite patience and never-ending persistence"
Since then, every time I feel impatient, I remember those beautiful places, and the striking example FDR gave us...

You can ask yourself a question.
If I am have a moment of impatience or anger and the phone rings do I change my attitude or my tone of voice?
If at work am I impatient with those around me?
If you answer no then you need to treat those whom you love and care about with the same respect.
"Tribulation worketh patience".

Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city. -- Proverbs 16:32

It means we don't do things in a rush; we wait patiently so that we have time to think and understand how to do it. In love life have to wait for a time to have mutual understanding, for career have to wait for a time to let your management to see your skills, in life have to wait for a time to build-up good friendship and family. An infant in the stomach has to wait patiently before he/she is born.

Here's some.... being impatient is selfish, illogical, causes unneeded stress, makes you look like a jerk, and is not a virtue.
