Believe it or not, but its true that after a quite long duration, father starts comparison with his son and mother starts comparison with her daughter, though they dont do this intentionally but due to some pshychological reasons it happens and definetly when you will compare yourself with anyone some confliction will occur and ego will clash, thats why only fathers feel more comfortable with daughters because there is a little chance of comparison between male and female and the same thing applies on the mothers and sons also.

I do not agree. It is not true always to the extent that comes in exception. It is a complementary situation when a mother is quite not happy with her masculine partner (father) and the father is not happy with his feminine partner (mother). In normal case father is always closer to his elder son/daughter and the mother is closer to her younger son/daughter.

A son is a son
till he takes a wife,
A daughter's a daughter
all of her life.
A mother knows in her heart that one day he'll be gone. To his wife's family. But her daughter will always be around.
And Dad knows that someday someone is going to take over his role as protector to his little girl. But his role as father to his son will always be the same. I think as parents we are trying to make sure that we have told them and taught them all we can before they go.
The father - daughter and mother - son relationships will forever be altered once they leave.

i think its not so parents are close to there every child mother is also closer to her daughter & father is also close to his son . mother is not away to her daughter she is only strict because she is worried about her life in her laws house so she want her to be perfect in household work beause its her daughter asset for her whole lifewhich makes her position in society this all make us feel &think that mothers are more close to son & is same with the fathers they are worried about there life also

Having sons and daughters my belief is that fathers instinctively feel protective toward females, whereas (historically, perhaps through genetic education) sons are the future 'protectors' of the family.

i think it's because the father as a male seen the life of male. so he can understand every actions of his son, on the contrary he is having less knowledge of female's life. so, he worried more about doughter, how to provide her genuin support. so he is more concerned to doughter.
same in the case of mother.

it is just a family bond, we feel it that way but in reality mother and father love their children equally, if you dont believe me, just watch them when one of their child falls sick, they dont care whether it is the son or the daughter.........
