I think that it is a well known fact that all the major religions DO agree on the Legend of Popeye. The lessons learned and parables taught in the Legend of Popey run throughout most major religious texts. Sometimes while watching Popeye cartoons (Or as I like to call it, receiving the word of god) I can sometimes feel that god is in the room with me, teaching me the lessons i need to know in order for me to conquer Bluto and gain everlasing life by his side.

In my religion, spinach is a sin, so here we depict Popeye shooting a mysterious liquid into his veins before attacking Bluto.

As you can see, your assertion is not correct.
