I have always thought about death. Killing myself. It has become normal for me to think about it whenever I get real depressed. Lately, I've noticed cavities in my front teeth getting larger and larger. They HURT! My upper front teeth are decaying and that is something I know is socially unacceptable and unhealthy to look at!
I would like to know: would it be better just to go to the dentist (with luck that I would have pain relievers) that would fix my teeth?? They look bad enough, surely with all my front teeth hurting my gums like hell. My other option is -- just dying off. I am still "young" so I don't know what to think.
No one is around to listen to my problems, so I am stuck posting this question to you all. (They have their own, and I bet you all have yours, too)
I don't have a lot of money to do much in life. So that leaves out a lot of options for me. My parent says that insurance will have to wait till next month. Hurrah, by next month, all my teeth will turn brown and rot.

I cannot comment on the above comments.

But I do want to get back on track on to your main problems. First, you don't say how old you are, but I have been taught over the years that even when one says in jest that they want to commit suicide, there is some true underlying factor to the statement. If you are young, please speak to a parent or a trusted friend, counselor - someone and work through why you feel this way.

Because you haven't taken care of your teeth and you don't mention a true fear of dentists -- I can only imagine that you have very low self-esteem. It's time for you to re-evaluate your life and put it into focus. Like yourself, what you do, who you are and everything else should fall into place.

If you are like my old friend, he was so scared of dentists, he did let his front teeth go brown. Then he would talk with his lips over his teeth so he would think no one could see them. For his 52nd birthday he had all but 8 teeth removed at one go and bridges and partials put in. It was a hard lesson for him -- but when the false teeth went in - the smile came back - and so did his self esteem.

What many seem to forget about life and pain. Death - it's all over. There will be no more pain - because there will be no more life. Should you feel pain in the dentist's office - why, a few hours later - it's over, but life is still there to be lived.

Dentist will hurt more due to you being alive to feel the pain but thats no recommendation to go top yourself off over your teeth problem.

there are many options one would be havin them removed if necessary and have implants but as money is not so good they are not an option as would cost thousands, second option could be havin root canal which is opening the teeth up and digging out the infection and cleaning, sterilising the the teeth then closing them back up, the cuting them down to half the size and placing either a small bridge or crowns or verneers,or just having them pulled out and not havin any front teeth....

You don't say how old you are, but I can tell you one thing...I too have the same problem as you!
All mine hurt too,and same ones as you...I have no money to fix mine,so down to bad luck...But, I have to say, death is not much fun.!! and even if I do loose my teeth, eating ice-cream, and chocolate, and yummy food...is way better than death.By next month all your teeth will be about the same.Just know your not alone.o.k. you and me can get through this together o.k. so lets wait till next month.Ask your parent to give you a pain killer...when they get very painful....There are heeps of things
that once your teeth are fixed, you can do....o.k. when I get depressed,I go and lie on my bed, pull a real nice warm cover over me....and say a little prayer to Jesus, like please make me feel better, and happy. And it really works!!! so try that, and as you look in the mirror...remember one thing, your o.k. and that
everyone will get some kind of depression-from -time-to-time.
Go and get a hug from your parent, and I will send you some too-
O O O O O O.....BIG HUGS to you,and remember what I have said.o.k......smiles.

Make 2 appts-one for dentist, one for counselor. There is help out there and it works-take time to do it you will not regret it.You may need antidepressant s or talk therapy or maybe hospitalization of you are suicidal and making plans, dont' take a final decsion that cannot be changed.Do something in the meantime while you are waiting like get the counseling/evaluation then decide. Why not use all options at your disposal rather than teh only one you cannot change? Be smart... you can get help it's not a big deal. Can we count on you to get that help?

Go and see your dentist as soon as you can. Dental care does not hurt at all. I just had my teeth cleaned ( scaled and polished ) and had about half a dozen teeth filled ( glass ionomer filling ). It did not hurt at all. You may need some antibiotics and painkillers as your gums seem to be infected. If you are unable to see the dentist in a month, you should consult your GP immediately. He could possibly fix you temporarily with some antibiotics and analgesics. Don't you ever think of killing yourself. Life is too precious and wonderful ( despite all its problems and disappointments ) to be squandered away!

No, your teeth probably will not rot in one month. You can wait for the insurance if it is only one month. Otherwise, you can set up a payment plan with the dentist office or go to free dental clinics for low income people. It's not cosmetic, it needs to be fixed. Plus, maybe it'll make you feel better about yourself.

Go to the dentist. It will hurt more in the short run, but a botched suicide will hurt forever. It's soo much better to not even try.

particular that is incorrect, is why Sunni's dont try this custom, Shia do it to propose te Prophet (observed) grandson Imama Ali's homicide. that is incorrect in all senses. The Qu'ran states it, the Bible states it and so does the Torah. yet to those who do out of psychological ailment and are relieved of their ailment and are available to ask for forgiveness then God Allah (swt) is oft forgiving with the aid of fact the Qu'ran teaches us. Ash Hadu l. a. illaha illa Allah wa Ash hadu Muhammedul rasool Allah.

hmmm, suicide wont hurt at all if you do it right, but its not really a reasonable option. Just get your teeth fixed and then work on making your life better.
