Microwaves don't actually boil, but yes you can cook and egg that will appear to be like a boiled one - but be very careful! I would suggest that you use the 'poaching' method. Break the egg open and put it into a microwave-proof dish. Make sure that you also break the yolk, otherwise the pressure will build up and it will explode.
Better still, just scramble the egg in a 'Pyrex' type jug. They are light and fluffy - and the jug is much easier to clean than a saucepan! Put the egg into the jug, beat with a fork, add a little milk and season. Put jug into oven. Cooking time depends on how soft you like your egg and the rating of your oven. Take out half way through cooking and beat again. Finish cooking and beat again - et voila! Enjoy!

I had a nice experience with boiling egg in Microwave oven. I was told not to boil egg in microwave. But I wanted to know what happens if I boil egg in microwave like I boil other vegitables. I tried my experiment when no one at home. I kept egg in a bowl of water and started boiling it in microwave. After two minutes there was a huge explosion inside the microwave. The egg acted as a bomb shell and exploded. I had to clean the microwave and the kitchen myself as a fool.

Yes, the secret is not to use the microwave on full power. Eggs only explode if you cook them too fast.
Set it to half power or lower, best is about 20%, for about 10 minutes. Might need a bit of experimenting to find the best settings for yours, expect a few half raw eggs!
Not all microwaves control that accurately, only the posh ones, but most have a defrost setting whioch you can use. Again, need to experiment.

Yes I have boiled eggs many times in a microwave oven. What you have to do though is make sure the egg is completely covered with water otherwise it will probably explode and make quite a mess.

I have never tried to cook an egg in the microwave in its shell. I have tried this out of the shell in a dish with the occasional accident even then.

If you do try this, i would suggest putting it in a dish with pierced cling film over the top so if there is an explosion, it will notcover the inside.

I don't think so. I believe eggs explode if you put them in the microwave, and I know there's been cases recently of people being seriously injured by reheating boiled eggs in the microwave, so I really wouldn't risk it if I were you.

If you try it, set up a camcorder so when you take it out and it explodes in your face you can send the clip in to "You've Been Framed" and get £250.
I've seen it shown before and would love to see it again.

It's safer to poach them in a bowl of water, if your microwave came with a cook book it should tell you how long to do this for.

an egg if put inside probably explode.

a microwave cant boil eggs or anything unless you it put inside water.

if you have a container that you can put water, and then boil the eggs maybe ok,but you should cover it to get steam.

Yes you can but make sure you crack it open and pour it into a special microwave egg boiler first and prick the yolk with a fork or you will have a BIG explosion to cope with!!!!
