Same thing we've known to do for centuries - eat right and exercise. Don't sweat it - if you enjoy every day and live without regrets, you'll stick around a bit longer and look good while doing it. And you'll make the other old folks jealous. ;) Just try to have a good time and enjoy everything that life gives you - even the bad stuff. If you can laugh about it, you can get over it. As far as diet, just eat a lot of healthy foods - the food pyramid actually includes all of the nutrients that you need to live well, and if you have further concerns talk to a dietitian or family doctor to make sure that you're getting the nutrients that're right for you. And don't overwork yourself with the exercise; just work until your body says it's time to quit. Consult a physical therapist if you have any injuries and/or pains that prevent you from working out normally BEFORE starting an exercise regime, and always always ALWAYS consult a doctor before altering your diet or activity level significantly. Also, start with small changes(in diet AND exercise) until you learn your limits. Above all, have a good time and make sure not to regret the things you didn't do - get out there and do them.

the best example i have for this is my mum! she's 55 now but she looks amazing. genetics must be on her side but i know for a fact that she had no reactions to menopause- no hot flushes, no depression or anything! she eats a LOT (and i mean a LOT) of vegetables- greens mostly (spinach, spinach, spinach!). she's makes them all fun to eat by making new sauces for them. scientifically, the "hormones" in the vegetables boost the hormone loss as you age.
she drinks a lot of tea and hardly ever drinks coffee. she doesnt take sugar with her tea. she drinks a lot of water.
some say to eat soya, but i've read articles and studies where they have shown to mess-up ur hormones cuz most soya is synethtically made.
another example i can use are celebrities- there are some celebs who are so afraid of getting old that they go and get boob jobs and their lips inflatted- don't do that, because EVENTUALLY u will realised how ridiculous u look.
make sure u use good skincare products- Lancome is really good but if you can't afford Lancome then just use L'Oreal- they are both owned by the same parent company!
ageing is not only a physical process but also a mental process- as you get older u begin to realise that the things that use to upset u or stress you out 10 years ago, dont stress you out anymore! make sure that ur ageing is a spiritual process as well.
dress appropriately- not frumpy, just appropriate!
exercise, do yoga or pilates to prevent arthritis and rheumatitis! yoga/pilates keeps you flexible and burns calories!
drink ur milk! - make sure you get enough calcium in ur diet, in order to prevent osteoporosis. get urself checked for early-onset osteoporosis so that you can start increasing ur calcium intake by drinking more milk and even calcium supplements (drink ur milk without sugar- its really yummy and healthier!).
if u have kids, ask them to help you out!
sorry i wrote a lot, but i hope it helped! i'm sure u'll age gracefully because unlike most women, u WANT to age gracefully- that's why you ASKED!

whats up Umar :) My vote is going to Sir Anthony Hopkins. he's been consistent and tremendous for years and that i trust he's seventy 3 years previous! Wow. i love video clips starring him from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. very last year I pronounced him in 'The ceremony' on the cinema and he change into merely as mind-blowing as ever. Getting quite some laughs mutually with his strains from fellow cinema-goers too! Morgan Freeman too. even if he's somewhat typecast those days, he continues to be an spectacular actor. edit: Michael Caine. Michael bloody Caine! nonetheless cool as a cucumber at seventy 8. edit: i love Fracture! you ultimately end up rooting for Hopkins do not you :) he looked like an fairly portly little guy in that action picture haha. Thor continues to be queued on my lovefilm record, I do opt to be certain it, yet in no rush!

Enjoy being alive and experiencing at least a modicum of good health. Eat well but not to excess. Your attitude is more important than just about anything else..

Work out everyday and eat healthy. Keep a good blood presser. Talk to your doctor. And stress will make you die faster. Heal your heart. Find happiness in your life

Eat well and exercise, don't smoke, drink, use drugs, lay in the sun, use too much makeup, or have fun. Well, have fun, but not in any of those ways.
