Just avoid downloading junk that comes in email or programs like limewire,kazaa etc I have not really had any problems with virus but spyware ph god. I think you develop a knack for it fast. I suggest you get LAvasoft's Adaware (free) and AVG anti virus(free) both from download.com RUn scans like once a week.

Well, you have a wide variety of antiviruses of different flavors and prices. Norton, McAfee and others all have fee-based subscriptions. However, if you're o.k. with a free version, Grisoft has a decent one available called AVG. Below is the link to download.

You can buy Norton Antivirus.. Personally I think it's the best... But then again, you can't really prevent viruses... Unless you have a Mac.

You have to install antivirus like (norton or mcafee) plus internet security program. This help you to protoct your pc, but also you have to avoid downloading files from unsafe sites.
