It"s really maddening to me at times when some-one close to me dies--- especially when it is not a quick death. They are gone , and you are left . This gives you a sense of your own mortality-- which may cause some fright-- and some deep thoughts. At any rate it certainly causes some lonely times to get through --- this is the worst part , and can last for many years , if it ever goes away. I know this well == perhaps all too well. I have "shouted" at my God in great anger in my grief and sadness --- always wondering "Why" must people die? Just does"nt seem fair. I guess one has to just buck up and somehow find a way out of these emotions and get on with living .Emotions will cause you great , heart-breaking pain-- but this is inescapable-- it"s something each will have to deal with on a personal level. Dying is a part of living-- get on with your living-- have your family-- and enjoy life.

I'm very sorry. I've never lost a brother or son but I've lost my mother, father and my best friend. I know how painful it is to lose someone you love. Time is the only healer, though the pain never completely goes away. Just be there for your mom because it's incredibly hard for people to deal with the loss of a child. Also be there for your nieces and nephew. I lost my dad when I was 9 and it's very difficult and confusing for a child when they lose a parent.

My condolences and heart goes out to you! (tears. tears).
I haven't lost a brother, but I lost an older sister to stillbirth. Though I been going on about life my whole life, it still makes me sad never getting to meet her.
As for losing a son, I don't know if I lost a son. I might have lost a daughter instead. This happened 9 years ago, and too early in the pregnancy to determine the gender.
You might want to try going to a grief counselor. Maybe that will help, even though no one fully gets passed a loved ones death.

I am sorry for your loss. Yes I have lost a son. He was 10 days old and I was 20 years old. It is rough. I guess I am lucky in the aspect that I didn't have years of attachment to have to deal with. But even now, 25 years later, it is still hard to think about, sometimes. No one should ever have to have someone they love die, but it does happen and we somehow keep going on. Hopefully stronger through the loss.

I sent my brother to his grave, (explosion)
My son died alone when i should have been there. (coma)
I believe my Fathers cancer was caused from a job I had him do for me (chemicals)
And I could have stopped the death of my best friend if i had not been so lazy (shot to death)
We all move along or should..

So sorry, really. But you should get over your fears and have kids,Your mother will be happy with them, they will distract her from thinking and crying for her sons.It is time to go on with life.Best wishes.
