what is the mental health of a person using only the colors red and black in paintings of a volcano?

At first sight it would seem that the colours we prefer have nothing to do with our mental health...even so a lot of psychiatric tests contain the following question "what are your favourite 5 colours?" and if you should answer red and black as the first two the one's who have tested you will usually put you in the category of unstable people menatlly speaking. But when it comes to painting that's another story...

You have no way to judge and no that with out really knowing the artist. Could be dozens of reasons why he or she would use those colors. Anything else is a guess on your part and not necessarily fact.

No signifigance...just a statement...Even Picasso had his 'blue' period..someone just wants to be different probably..

well when i see those two colors in a picture or watever, i think sadness and mystery. maybe a little bit of frustration also.
