well in nero, there is an option to burn image to cd. I'm not sure but I think remembering that ISO didn't show as being an image in nero, but if you choose "All Files" (you'll know what I mean), You will be able to burn that iso after you select it. As for your second question. You said its a LiveCD so that means it will run directly off the CD. There's no need to install it if that's what you want. I use ubuntu linux and its technically a livecd until you decide to install it on the harddrive. maybe its the same... however it may be possible that you will have to get the actual gentoo installer instead of a livecd if there is one. but the decision is all up to you.

I think the two previous answers have covered the first part of your question.
Regarding installing Gentoo to your hard drive I agree with Ken H. Installing Gentoo is a serious undertaking and you need to have some solid Linux knowledge to do it successfully. I've used Linux exclusively for over 18 months and only now am I considering taking the plunge and installing Gentoo alongside my current distro.
If you want to try and use Linux I'd advise a 'complete' distro like SUSE, Ubuntu, Fedora etc so you can learn the basics.
Good luck and do try Linux. It's the best!

I believe Nero has an option called something like burn from an image file. I don't remember exactly what it's called but that should do it for you.

Installing Gentoo is a fairly complex procedure. If you want something quick and automatic, you probably don't want Gentoo. If you really want it, go to the Gentoo website and find the quick install guide. They have extensive documentation on the website, but some if it isn't easy to find if you don't know what you're looking for.
