well, I'd say not to be an insensitive jerk, and go with the first girl, or neither. BUT since you are a guy, I know you're going to go to this game no matter what. Tell the first girl as close to the truth as you can without hurting her feelings. I'd say you're going to a game with a friend because some tickets came up unexpectedley. Maybe you can ask the second girl to give you more of a heads up next time? Or maybe you can not make plans any longer than a day or two before the actual date night to keep this from happening as much when something better comes along. And you say this other girl? Could it be that you don't even like her that much?

If the game is more important to you than either of the girls, then call up the first girl and be honest and make another date with her.....only then go for the game.
If either one of the girls is more important to you, then don't let the game decide your solution. If its the first girl, carry on with your date and let the second one know that you are already engaged tomorrow. If its the second one you like then call the first, explain that you need to call off with no excuse, just a 'see you around' that lets her know that this is a casual friendship. Then go ahead with your other girl and game.
If nothing is as important to you then too bad---do the correct thing and carry on with your first date and cancel politely on the second.

Tell her a friend has front roll tickets to a game and you need to cancel but can you make it up to her next week. This is not a lie b/c the other girl is just a friend.

Jules has it down. No reason to lie. If you wanna peep the game, then do it and tell the truth. If you wanna BE WITH girl number one, then this wouldn't be an issue. It doesn't sound like you 2 are in a relationship, so she shouldn't be hurt by it. That is, of course, if you haven't been lyin/leadin ger on already. If you have, then thats a really good example of what lying can do for you.

buy her a ticket and take her with. you are going to be at a football game not a make out party. tell the girl with the tickets that you want to do this and see if she has any objection. if she does tell her you can't go because you have already committed yourself to something else. if you go to the game with out the other girl you run the risk of losing the respect of both of them in this world a man is only as good as his word. be a man and keep yours.

You have to be honest with yourself first.
Do you really like the girl you have been dating on and off? If she is special to you; you need to make a commitment to only date her, and not on an on and off basis! If she is only a convince, you need to break it off with her and not hurt her any longer.
Think about her feelings! Not just yours. I love football, but I would not hurt someone that "I claim to care for ", for it!

You clearly have a preference for the game... more than you think of your girlfreinds. Be honest and tell her the reason for cancelling the date with her. She will understand if she knows you well.

Well if you really like her I would say no to the tickets. The game lasts a few hours hardly worth it then. Get cable

what are your priorities? if the first girl isn't important to you, tell her the truth and go to the game. don't be a coward and make up a lie. if she is important to you, watch the game on tv with her and have fun.
