It's highly possible to recover lost deleted formatted or corrupted pictures from digital camera deleted memory card. To increase chance of camera photo recovery, do not save any new file to digital camera sd card.
Take out sd card and connect it to computer with a usb card reader or card reader slot on computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download camera picture recovery program asoftech photo recovery. Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button to recover lost deleted formatted photos from digital camera.

Not sure if "erase" actually wipes the area of the memory card used to store the picture, or just marks it as usable for the next shot. Go to your favourite digital-photo processing shop or to a computer shop, or at least try it in the memory card reader of your own computer if it has one.

It depends if you've used the memory card at all since. When things are deleted, they aren't actually deleted, the space they're taking up is just marked for usage again and they don't show up. So there might be a recovery program somewhere that can get them back.

"Program should be able to read all memory cards currently available on the market and recover lost JPG and TIF file. RAW format is not fully supported but the program will read most of the corrupted RAW files too and save them with TIF extension. While it's not optimized for that task, this program can actually also read damaged floppys, CDs and DVDs."

I have a free program called PC Inspector smart recovery from a magazine. It works very well for this problem. Tip. Do not use the card until you have recovered data as this will destroy it.

No, once u have erased them they are gone. The only people that can bring them back is the police experts but they will only do that if they have a just cause ie: if they suspected that you were a criminal and taking pictures of an unlawful nature

Do nothing to it
Buy a recovery program
It will give its own identity to the lead identities you have erased.
You will then see your photos again
Check out Disc Warrior it is ok for Macs, PCs unknown.
About £90 anywhere

This is when you say, "I wish I bought a Sandisk or Lexar card and installed their free image recovery software."
Read the other answers where some users recommend sites to buy 3rd party image recovery software.
