I was wondering, if I wanted to have friends over or family would they be allowed to come into the barracks? What about dating, are you allowed to invite people over or is it a no? I didn't want to ask my recruiter because I thought that it would be a stupid question.. Does anyone have the answer?

hi, my brother is in the Army and when he lived at Fort Bragg I visited him but I was not allowed to stay the night or anything. There are usually hotels on the base though that are fairly cheap. My parents visited him also so I would think that yes you can have people over if you want but I'm sure there are rules that they will tell you about.

Dear, recruiters will do and say anything to get you into the military. I asked if I could play Golf after my basic training. Of Course the recruiter said yes. Funny thing was I did end up on the golf course right after basic, pulling weeds.
If you are sent to Iraq you will come back a different person, and in a lot more pain then you have ever felt in your life. That of course assumes that you are not more seriously hurt and do not get brain damage from being near one of those friendly mines in the road.
If you have to join, join the Air Force or Navy and do not go into the medical field.

So your joining the military. Here is the stipulation on the barracks. It all depends on your barracks. Depends if there is a person on duty watching the barracks or someone on duty. Its different from place to place. So you'll just have to see when you get there.

In most Navy BEQs: ZERO overnight guests. ZERO guests of the opposite sex in the bedroom unless the door is open. If you have one of the new styles Qs where the bedrooms are seperated by a common room, then you may have guests until Lights out in the common room only.

Married personnel may have their spouse stay with them overnight with prior notification AND if they have private quarters(no roomies). There will probably be a fee for this.

It depends on your unit usually. No overnight guests, sign them in at BAT, under 18 they have to have a parent,.....etc. The reality is, people do it all the time and staff duty looks the other way.
