Can you braid?
I love French Braids on little Girls, or you could pull all her hair up on the very top and center of her head with a ponytail,--then let the ends cascade down like the "Pebbles" look.
Cute!!!!!

I have a 7 year old daughter and we are always coming up with new styles. One of our favorites is to part hair down the middle and start on one side. Kinda like piggy tails. I clip one side up and out of the way. The other side I take a a small section of hair up by forehead and put it in a ponytail. Then I pull another section under it in a ponytail and make sure I secure the top pony in it and then I just keep doing it down her haed on both sides. It keeps it close to her head and isn't messy at all. In fact sometimes if we are going somewhere very early, I will do it the night before and it still looks great in the morning. It stays close to the head like a french braid, but it isn't the same boring old style. She always gets loads of compliments on it when ever we do it. I hope I explained it well enough. If not send me an email and I will send you a pic of it. Super cute on the young and older girls.

Well, there might be a difference between "gotta get to school" soon hairstyle and "get dressed up to go somewhere social" style. For hurry out the door mornings, if you can get the tangles out and put a headband on, that looks cute. If you have the time to really style it, either of the above two are adorable. To have the pigtails or puppy dog ears really work, you need to make the part down the middle very straight and situate them about and inch or two above and behind the ears.
There are lots of cute hair accessories and barrettes out there also if she likes to adorn.
I have an eight year old girl who keeps her hair short, likes camo clothes and catches frogs. What I wouldn't give for hair on her long enough to style. She has a closet full of dressed she wouldn't be caught dead in. I sure hope this is just a phase.

Try the "Web". This was my daughter's favorite special hairstyle and it takes only a few minutes to do with wet or dry hair. Sit behind your daughter. Comb her hair. Take a handful of hair in your hands from the top, middle part of her head. Bring in a medium handful of hair from each temple area. Braid those two side handfuls with the middle handful up high in the back of her head. Braid about three crossovers then bring in a second and lower handful from each side of her head into the back braid. Braid for about three crossovers again and bring in a third handful from each side (bring in all the hair this time that remains)and braid into the back braid. Finish braiding the tail and bound. The handfuls of hair from the sides should look like ribs that overlay the rest of her hair. Hope I explained that well.

I like to pull my daughters sides up with a small hair rubber band and a cute hair band. Both of my girls like there hair down and I like it out of their faces. This allows them to have it down and me to see their cute faces. The rubber bands don't fall out so it stays in all day.

Pig tails, or just one pig tail on the top of her head. Or part it down the middle and hold the hair back with clips, if you can do that, if she is old enough.

I always loved the cupie-doll look, with a pony tail at the top of the head tied with a bow!
