I'm 30. I just started seeing someone less than a month ago. My b-day is in two weeks. Should I assume he'll ask me out for my b-day or should I go make plans with my girlfriends?

You shouldn't assume or expect anything and if you start hinting around about your birthday like a mad woman wanting gifts he'll dump you because no man likes to be pressured. Make tentative plans with your girlfriends, let them know that if he asks you out the night of your birthday that you'll go out with them the following evening or week-end to celebrate...but if not, your calender will be free. Happy B-Day to You.

Does he know your birthday is in two weeks? When he found out did he volunteer that he wanted to celebrate with you? If he didn't, don't waste another day, let alone SPECIAL day, waiting for a man! Your girlfriends are a sure thing. A man you've been seeing is just a man you've been seeing. After 31 years on this earth how many days have you wasted waiting for a man to do something. Take control of your own life. Have a party with your friends, and if he decides he wants to do something for your birthday, he can celebrate with you the day before, the day after or if he' lucky the day of with your girlfriends. Live girl, he may be of no consequence by next month.

When I 1st met my now husband, it was Sept 10. My birthday was shortly after that on Oct 27. I made dinner plans with him at Bennegan's. I told my friends to meet us there a few hours later(after we had already had some alone time, & working on a good buzz). Then we all sat & drank & celebrated my b-day together. And my boyfriend had the privilege of taking my drunk self home.

this is what i'd do:

Say, "hey, my birthday is _____. My friends want to take me out. I was thinking I'd go out with them on XXX day, but wanted to see if you had anything going on that week so i still have some time to see you, too - while its still up in the air"

simple, laid back, doesn't make you seem like you're expecting anything but gives him the opportunity to decide or confirm if he wants to do something special for you or not.

Make sure he's included ! He may already have plans for you ! At my age ( 50 ) ....my friends and me have birthday weeks ! That way we don't have to go overboard in one day ! You got 7 days ~ that will allow everyone to have fun !

How much do you like him?
Does he know it is your birthday?
Do you want to spend your birthday with him?

You could hold out until a bit before the day until you committed with your girlfriends.

You could go out with the girls on another day, the day before or the day after.

What do you want to do?

You should never assume anything. Of course you can hope, and since you two are still early in your dating time, I'd guess yes, since he'd want to impress you.

you may understand that all human beings is impolite while it is composed of RSVP-ing. i will make it easier to be attentive to this from journey. in case you want to substantiate that your loved ones/acquaintances are drawn to attending the occasion, call them as a replace. human beings overlook, lose the invitation, placed it off till the final minute, etc.
