One: He is the first friend I have made since I became a soldier.
Two: He is my first friend after I became a soldier.

one is correct.....there is something wrong with the tense in #2...you should maybe replace after with since...

The first one is right. The second one sounds as if English is not the speaker's first language...it's just a little "off." Better to say:
"He is the first friend I made after I became a soldier."

The first is right

The second is wrong because it is grammatically incorrect to change the tense of a sentense mid way through:

He IS my first friend after I BECAME a soldier.

IS is present tence ......... Became is past tense,

Therefore Number 2 is wrong.

they both seem ok both a bit of a mouthful,but the 1st sounds the best.
you never say later what is right or best
