I enjoy all the little things that make romance sing. It is in the little things one does. Like holding hands while walking. Or just an unexpected kiss for no reason. Maybe just laying on the sofa, watching tv and stroking your hair. The woman has to be receptive and after a few rejections. The guy will stop trying anymore. So if your not getting any romance, and you used to. Maybe, you turned down his advances or tender moments once too many times.

Men are romantic. Perhaps a little less nowadays than in the
"Golden Big Band Years". You can feel it in the melody and lyrics.
Try Mel Thormé‘s interpretation of "windmills of your mind"
and "photographs". They are on the same album and you can
find it in his site through a Yahoo or Google search. Just listen
to the words and Mel‘s tone of voice. He is no longer with us,
but his impeccable interpretations still are here to answer your question. This message is not only for the elder, youngsters
will also get the same feeling for love, as it should be, and the
bonus of a great performer as icing on the cake

They just have different ideas of romance than we do. Taking out the trash without being asked may be a romantic gesture for a man. Men truely are made up different and think different than women and vice versa. When people get this through their heads there will be less divorce!

Men who are never romantic aren't real men.

I am assuming that you are female. And please excuse me if you are not....but, if this is the case, you may learn something.

You have been unlucky but don't assume that all men are as empty hearted as the ones you have experienced. I, personally, take great pleasure when in womens company in focusing my efforts on pleasing them and making them feel good about themselves.

It's not you, you just haven't met the right man who will give you what you want. In the words of Alicia Keys; "A real man knows a real woman when he sees one......And a real man just can't deny a womens worth"

Some men are!

My husband buys me flowers every Friday and buys me a rose for every year of my life on my birthday. He also buys me chocolate, just because he can.

Last week he came home early from work so he could take me out to dinner, just because he loved me.

He also tells me that he loves me at least a hundred times a day.

My parents have been married for more than 30 years and my dad is still head over heals in love with my mum- and you can tell. He is so romantic with her, that it can be embarrassing when they are together in public!

My guy is. We met because he placed an ad for a lady to help find the last unicorn. He spoils me rotten. When I had hip surgery, he got up with me every 2 hours to help me get back into bed. He helped me plant 100 new daylilies in our backyard and since I couldn't do the deadheading with my surgery, he did that for me.

And he is a damm fine cook. He will make pancake breakfasts for me on Sunday and Chinese/Korean dishes during the week. He loves to cook for me.

After 20 years, he still enjoys showering together and giving me plenty of attention. I feel that I am the most fortunate woman alive.

I get maybe 5 or more Txt messages of pure crazy from my husband when I am at work. I do not like flowers so I do not get them any more. I do not eat chocolates so I do not get them either. He takes me out for meals and plays when we can go. We go for long walks. We have stopped and made love at laybys in UK, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and once in Mozambique. Gruger National park as well. He is full of surprises and plans then for good effect. Sometimes he just sees a setting and uses it.

Been married since 1999 have known each other since childhood. He was my boyfriend since age 4.

They are, you just have'nt found the right one for you.
Look around for someone else, if your the romantic type and he is'nt, you will never be happy with him. He won't change, and neither will you. Therefore, you will always feel there is something missing in your relationship and in the end you will part.

In my experience, romance means different things for men and women.

Men: Romance = Wildness and spontaneity
Women: Romance = Thoughtfulness and planning

That's not to say that men aren't ever thoughtful or women aren't spontaneous. These are just tendencies.

My boyfriend has no idea how to be romantic! But when we first met he sent me 2 dozen roses, to my office and I was so thrilled! People stopped me on my way home to comment on how gorgeous they were! I still love him anyway
