I will add another one why: Argentinians, Chileans, Peruvians, Uruguayans and from every country in the North and South ' Americas, can claim , Indian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, African, Arab, Asian background and yet they call themselves people of the country they were born. I can offer a couple reasons. It seems that the American mentality has not yet integrated in their psych that they are no longer people from other Continents, and prefer to preserve and to keep the culture of their forefathers alive.. And yes , there are some very charming aspects of their particular family origin that make them feel special and unique giving a feeling of tight-knit belonging to a community or group outside their families niche.. My thought in this is that emphasizes the fragmentation of the American psychic and fosters more discrimination. Just my opinion.

I'm not sure about Spanish, but the Russians say "я влюблён ja vl'jubl'en" (men) or "я влюблена ja vl'jublena" (women) and never say "я впадаю в влюблённость" - it sounds wierd, word for word translation from English.
