I can't say I echo your sentiments, even though I've been against this horribly foolish military adventure from Day 1. It won't do any good to humiliate conservatives over the war. That will only make them angrier and more determined to win a different war to make people forget about the Iraq fiasco. How many more thousands will die to help people forget Iraq.

As both Ghandi and Christ would both support, you don't bash your enemies when they are down, you pick them up. Maybe then they won't be so determined to prove that they were right all along after all. Injured pride can make the conservatives even more dangerous.

And maybe it will take longer than 30 years for the next incredibly foolish American military adventure to materialize [there were 30 years between the end of Vietnam and the beginning of Iraq]. We can hope so!!

Before you go fool in heat, you might want to chew on this real fact: WE ALL lose from this war, each facet of which is tragic in it's own self.

Just recently, there have been more war dead (by just a few more numbers) than those who perished in 9/11.

We, the taxpayers are churning out $ 50 BILLION A MONTH for this war that has every earmark of being a desert Vietnam.

Given that, I don't think the Republican's, with their classiest Armani suits and designer dresses are gonna care one way or another how hard or how much you slap your legs in ridicule of their political party or it's ideals.

Unless you are Muslim, you would do well to pray to whatever god you may recognize that the United States of America (not the Republican Party) does NOT lose this war. If we are not able to show that we are strong and united, the radical Islamists will see no reason to cease their vicious acts of terrorism.
I have to wonder how the radical leftists would feel if they were forced to live under the Law of Sharia where minorities (whether they be racial, political, religious, or gender minorities) have absolutely NO rights. How much would you be laughing then ?
