I think my freind you are going to have a tough time getting the answer you want.

for 2 reasons.

1. thi9s question does not have a nswer to the theist cause it does nto amtter they are beyound worring about life after death. Many peoplelook to religion to shield there hearts from that deathly end.... the do not they face it for what it is .. the end ... and dont worry about it and deal with the life givan to them.

2. asking if they belive in satan is going to come acorss as a insult to many, seeing that satan in the context of this question is a christian concept then of courc3e they dont belive in satan....only chirstains do..."dont confuse worship with beliving some thing"

hope thius clears some stuff up

I believe that God and Satan are both myths. This is one of the things I find somewhat interesting about religions that claim that they believe in just One True God, and then also believe in Satan. Polytheist religions would clearly call Satan a god too. Anyway, I think that all of the stories of the Hebrew Bible are myths, and no more deserving of belief than the Greek, Roman, Norse, or American Indian myths that all Christians readily agree are myths.

I also believe that the concept of an immortal soul is also a myth. I believe that when I die, my consciousness ends completely, and that I will never again exist (no reincarnation).

When you die your body " returns to the Earth" one way or another! I'm not too sure about the part that makes me "me" though. Whether it's just the chemicals in my brain, (which would mean that ALL of me would be fertilizer) or whether there is a soul or something that continues on, maybe in the next person to be born after I die. As for Satan, I don't think you could believe in Him without believing in God.

You do have a stereotypical image of an atheist. No, an atheist is a person who does not accept the existence of ANYTHING he cannot prove. Nothing after death has been proved. So nothing can be accepted. No God, no Satan, no hell, no heaven, no Jesus' resurrection. Not anything that humans can see or perceive.

And what happens after death? Just the final credits, with some catchy song, and finally the words "THE END" rolling up from the bottom to the centre of the screen. The screen goes black, and everybody leaves the cinema.

I am not an aetheist, but I know they don't believe in God, Satan or an afterlife.

A lot of religions don't believe in an afterlife either, including Judaism. When a Jew dies, they believe that's the end.

You seem to be having difficulty even imagining there might not be a heaven or a hell. Contrary to the impression you seem to have, aetheists are not evil people. Indeed, I think you will find most are law abiding, compassionate people who live by a code of ethics. They take responsibility for their own lives and are guided by reason and objectivity.

Nope I don't believe in Satan, god, Jesus, heaven, nor hell. What happens to me when I die.....Well I get taken to the morgue, my funeral service is prepared and all that comes along with that, then after the funeral service my body which is in a casket gets put into the ground. My body will decompose. End of process I will be dead it don't really matter.
Everyone dies that's just the cycle of life. Why would anyone even care what happens when someone dies, it's not like anyone lives to tell about it. You get one life and that is why I choose to live it too the fullest cause once your dead you are just that dead.

Satan is also another fictional character just like the myths of the greeks, like dracula and other ghost stories.

It will be ridiculous to believe in Satan when in the first place you dont believe in God?

I do not believe in Satan... I do believe in the eternal struggle between good and bad, I just don't believe they have the personas of God and Satan. These are both constructs of man to control other men with religion.

As far as what happens when we die... no one knows for sure. But I believe our hearts stop beating, our brains cease functioning and there is nothing. We are just gone from this life. Period. And that is nothing to fear. Why does there HAVE to be more?

I don't need god and religion to force me to make good choices in this life. I have life itself, a conscience, and my family to help me stay strong and make good choices. Living a good life is its own reward. Christians have to die to get theirs... I have mine now.

I just asked a question about how one can believe in satan but not god. it doesn't make any sense to me.

and to answer your first question, i believe that when we die, we die. that's all. we put our bodies in the ground and we rot. that's why i want cremated :)

i also don't believe in the concept of a soul...so i think all we are is a body with a brain that's capable of thinking and reasoning. so when the brain dies, everything else does too.

When you die, your brain ceases to function and your consciousness disappears. And no Satan doesn't exists either. In fact, I'd rather belive in God than Satan. Ridiculous.
