Last week I had my engagement party. I asked my two cousins who are brothers ( 21 & 24) to be my ushers, one showed up - said hello then slept the rest of the night in the car, the other didn't show, didn't call and didn't email me yet the rest of his family showed, Its been a week and I haven't heard from any of them. Am I asking to much for an apology? what should my reaction be? how should I handle this? I am pretty pissed off, had it been me in thier wedding I would have shown up with bells on..

no, they both behaved very inconsiderately of you, and their family ought to be ashamed for not getting on them about not showing. You have every right to get that apology!! GL;)

I think you are overreacting.

The world doesn't revolve around your wedding. They have a life too. It's not like they signed a contract and they are going to get paid for their services, in fact it is quite the opposite way, they will expend their hard earned money in participating in your wedding.

Maybe they were not very interested in your wedding but accepted to be your ushers simply not to hurt your feelings. Not everybody feels the same way.

Do not worry, enjoy your planning and if they cooperate or not, shouldn't be an important matter and make you angry. What matters is that you are going to marry the person you love, and nothing should be capable of diminishing that joy.

And if by any chance your wedding day arrives and your ushers don't show up, don't worry, people ARE capable of getting a seat for themselves.

Do not sweat over the small stuff it is NOT worth it at all.

With the way the both inconsiderately behaved....I would say you are asking too much for an apology. If they were the type of guys that would be considerate , they wouldn't have behaved that way in th first place.
Problem over - they're out of the wedding! Call on 2 other men that are responsible, respectful and deserve it.
Put this part behind you as lesson learned and get on with the happiness of your upcoming marriage.

You know, not everybody even has engagement parties. You can't control who comes or not. It is certainly not a requirement of the wedding party to be there - what if they were from out of town? Don't put your expectations upon others; I hope you just had fun. Don't sweat the small stuff, eh?

Maybe they both had bad days and it wasn't personal.

You are justified in being upset.
