Toney won that fight against Peter yet judges are stupid just like when Oscar beat Tito yet they gave the fight to Tito.

In my opinion, James had a lot to do with too. Either you like James or you don't, and I don't. He's very lazy, he doesn't like to train and he has a big mouth. I've been in the same gym as James, Freddy Roach's Wild Card Gym on Vine Street in L.A above the Laundromat parking in the rear and he pretty much knows the way I feel about him and I know the way he feels about me, he doesn't like me either.
James fights a very lazy version of Floyd Mayweather, Old School tuck your head into your left shoulder, keep most of your weight on your rear foot and turn your body to the right when you're being hit. The biggest difference in the two is Floyd can actually box and gets out of the corner and stays off the ropes, James since his waist line has forever changed can't move around the ring anymore as he did when he was a middleweight and didn't have 4 or 5 rolls on the back of his neck, so he has to stay in the corner to help hold up the extra pounds and he has to lay on the ropes so he doesn't burn his legs out on the fight.
Sam Peter was the aggressor in their fight (you get points for that) Sam Peter had better ring generalship (you get points for that) Sam Peter threw more punches than James (you get points for that) Sam Peter visibly hurt James at least once in their fight (you get points for that) Sam just simply put outworked James.
I'm not asking you to agree with me or the three judges who actually viewed the fight pretty much the same way I did and Press Row (The reporters at the fight are given score cards and asked to keep track of the fight in their opinions)
Take it easy Southern Bound and thanks for the question. Peace.

One at a time...I concur that the Toney decision was highly questionable. Judges sometimes look for different things in a fight, however, and a number of the rounds were hard to score. Most boxing experts I know (along with myself) gave the fight narrowly to Toney.

As far as the De La Hoya/Trinidad fight, IMO the judges called that one correctly. Oscar dominated the first half of the fight and then figured he could just sleepwalk through the second half and pull out the decision victory. It was a very bad strategy, and Trinidad did enough to win a close decision.
