I don't look at brands. I wear whatever is appealing to me and fits most comfortably. I do, however, think that some brand names have better quality. Some tend to last longer.

No and the reason I say no, is because quite often the clothes made by a famous house brand name are sometimes made in the same sweatshop factory somewhere in deepest China or Injah who make the same sweatshop cheapo clothes we can buy at Primark. Unless you are a fashionista hooked on fashion, what's the point in wearing something with the name PRADA on it? The only purpose is to show that such as person has more money than sense. There was a time when it was vulgar to show labels, now it seems everyone must show a label. Not me pal - I know a rip off when I see one. In my local 99pence shop, I can get three pairs of throw away socks for that price. In Primark you can get six for a couple of quid, same price really. But you go into M&S they want £4 or £5 for the same throw away junk. Take my advice and to Hell with up market labels - just not worth it. What puzzles me most is why kids, esp of the working class, hoot and holler at each other about the label on their clothes or the type of trainers they are wearing. Listen up - trainers are bad for your feet. If a person wants to run, buy the cheapst plimpsoles possible. Why? Because they force the wearer to run on the balls of his/her feet and not on the heal which causes leg muscle and bone damage over time. In fact to be honest, our ancient ancestors ran barefoot and were probably damn sight quicker over the same ground than we are today - a bunch of fat fashionista slobs.

I dont buy all brand name clothes. I buy what looks good. Those LV purses are the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I dont know where youre frombut ive seen those things everywhere here and I think there tacky. It makes the person look tacky bc theyre trying to show off there louis. and for people that were price tags on their caps(they did that alot when i lived in baton rouge) get a life. If you have to prove something to your friends or people you dont know by wearing namebrands, youre just plain superficial, and thats all you got is a namebrand and a personality with no substance. You dont Have to have namebrands do you?

You are assuming brand names equals sweatshops. How do you know that it isn't the cheaper clothing lines that are made in sweatshops, thus the cheaper price? Your best bet would be to buy clothing made in America because of the unions and labor laws.

I don't !!! I just found a pair of jeans for $2.50 YES that's right two dollars and fifty cents !!! Just the week before I found a couple pairs for $5.00 ea. I recently lost some weight and it was time to find some jeans that fit... I dig and scan the stores weekly when its time for me to buy anything.
I laugh at the people who spend over $20.oo for jeans ! I get compliments on mine all the time for rock bottom prices. I wait for them to go on sale and then go in and clean them out. I would rather invest the money I save, to make more money rather than think I look good due to a label !
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah life is good when you can save save save !
Happy Sunday ! : )

Because people are vain. They need to show every one that they can afford the brand name to look cool to their friends. This way they hide the fact that they are shallow and insecure.

You are correct. I believe that it is normal to want to dress well and look nice but it is stupid to spend $227 for a pair of shoes made out of alligator hide, for example, so that we can go around saying: look at me>>>my shoes cost $237.
On the Internet one can find many sites which evaluate products from an ethical standpoint.
