I enjoy drugs within reason. Has nothing to do with my atheism, and I don't consider the highs a spiritual experience. Drugs are just plain fun.

I have never used drugs, because I don't need them. But I'm not judgmental on others who do. I am all for the legalisation of drug use, because I think that if drugs could be sold in every kiosk, the huge drug business would go bankrupt, and the world would be almost free from drugs in no time.

Besides, a legalisation would allow for the states to run real non hypocritical campaigns advising on how to control the use, rather as on how bad drugs are. I mean, now the states just say, "Drugs are bad, so don't use them". But it's a fact that many people are not going to listen to that. On the other hand, if they just said, "Drugs are bad, but I know many of you cannot give them up so easily. So here's some advice so you don't die of an OD" that could be more appealing.

all drugs should be legal to use, after a certain age, age age age age age age . sorry, I am stoned,, president reagon said all drugs should be legal. it would do a lot more good for this country and her people, then keeping it illegal, there was not a problem with people doing drugs till AFTER it was made illegal, those that feel this way should write letters to the editor and there legislators, there was an articule in the paper a while back that said they tested people with some natural mushrooms and they most all had very spirtuale experiances that they said changed there lifes. for the better, but its so bad that most ranchers put something in the grain so the cow **** wont form mushrooms. my wife and I were in a field down in ocala, and she said RUN RUN forest RUN, a gang of BROUMAs females. came running at us, we barely got to a fence they would have stompt us to death, I let my dog , dawg, attack the herd, it was fun watching him I felt like a proud papa. watching him rip there lips off and such., damn that was a day, we did later get some sruums,I dont really do drugs any longer but think this should be a free country, and as long as people arenot hurting anyone but themselfs they should be able to be free to do what they wont,

Using drugs to have spiritual experiences? People really do that? That's messed up! Do people who do this think that by taking drugs they will open themselves up to divine influence? That's disgusting. I just thought people did drugs because they felt good and because they were addictive, but this spiritual spin on things is new to me. I'd have to say that anyone who intentionally took a drug with the intention of having some kind of spiritual experience is an absolute moron.

Legalise it all. No more drug problem.Tax it like alcohol and tobacco, millions, if not billions for state and federal coffers The government should not be in the nanny business, saving us from ourselves and such. Anybody on welfare wired on drugs would just be sending the money straight back to the government....same as booze and smokes. Anyone in jail for dealing or possession....hey there's a job in Iraq for them right now. And no...they wouldn't all be stoned up all the time...booze is legal and everyone is not drunk all the time......think about it

People should be responsible for themselves. We only need to worry about it when its a direct effect on the general public. Legalize organic drugs to generate the revenue we need as a country from increase spending on education, defense, community growth, and other vital resources. If someone wants to enjoy a joint and eat some twinkies, no harm, no foul.

Not so sure what one has to do with the other. Drugs to have spiritual experiences? Enough drugs or booze and you'll imagine or dream all kinds of things.

How do you tell the difference between a spiritual experience and an hallucination.

As a Satanist as well as an Atheist, I'm very much against recreational drug use. Drugs that are addictive mean that instead of indulgence, you only experience compulsion. Drugs that alter your state of mind are cheating - you should be able to achieve any state of mind through concentration and willpower. Hail Satan! And don't do drugs!
