I thought that 2 Esdras was brilliant. How about what you've found and a little bit about why you think it's scripture?

Very good question.
I have complete faith in the King James 1611 Version of the Bible. I was led to it by God, and have enjoyed communicating with God through it all the years I have been a Christian. You see, God gives us His Word and through the Word comes knowledge and great wisdom. All from God.

As for other scriptures and scrolls written during the same era of time that the Bible stories were written, I use them as history books to gain additional wisdom. There are many books out in the world that assist in our studies of the Word. When reading them you may find that they add or subtract from the truth found in the Bible. Use what God has provided us. If its not a help, God is going to let you know right away.

Many Christians say they love God and never do His Will. Are they Christians? Jesus tells us that many are called but few are chosen. Not everyone that says LORD LORD will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

I read many things but always check it out in the Word for accuracy.><>

I FULLY AGREE ABOUT 2 ESDRAS!! I do believe it is canonical. I have it in my Bible. Depending on your denomination some consider it noncanonical. It is an eye opener and correspond with other Gospel/scriptural references.

There was a Roman scribe recording what took place at the Crucifixion (Like a court reporter) That, while seemingly accurate with the Bible accounts, is not included in God's Holy scriptures

The thing is.......
Adam and Eve accepted "other" ideas outside of GODS WORD.
hmmm. This is the identical rationality any person uses when justifying NON-biblical scripture as being BIBLICAL.

Titus 1:2 says God cannot lie.
John 1:1 says in the beginning was the Word.
Psalms says that thy Word O Lord is 4ever written in heaven.
Thy word is truth....... etc.

So to accept the notion that the bible is infact "incomplete" or with error is to deny literally...GODS WORD. GOD HIMSELF.

I would suggest refreshing yourself with one verse tonight my friend. REVELATION 21:8
You see, the severity of calling or being found......a such this verse describes is; well YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE.
**except......that it is 4 real and ever.

Are you absolutely sure that their are no absolutes?
A persons ETERNITY lies in the reality of whether or not the KJ bible is in fact the word of God, or of man.

Yes. and even more: Jesus and the Bible used extrabiblical tradition.:
•Mt. 23:2-3:... The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. - this symbol of authority (seat of Moses) is nowhere in the OT
•Act. 7:52-53, Gal. 3:19 & Heb. 2:2-3 - all these verses indicate that the law was delivered to men by angels - that teaching is not in the OT, as it is an extra-biblical tradition known by jews
•Act.17-28 - For 'In him we live and move and have our being,' as even some of your poets have said, 'For we too are his offspring.' - Paul quotes Epimenides and Aratus, two pagan poets
•1 Cor. 15:33 - ..."Bad company corrupts good morals." - Paul quotes the pagan poet Menander
•2 Tim. 3:8 - Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so they also oppose the truth - Pauĺs teaching of Jannes and Jambres, who were Egyptians magicians, is not found in the OT but in oral tradition of the jews, since Timothy knew what he was talking about.
•Tit.1:10-12 - For there are also many rebels, idle talkers and deceivers, especially the Jewish Christians. 11 It is imperative to silence them, as they are upsetting whole families by teaching for sordid gain what they should not. 12 One of them, a prophet of their own, once said, "Cretans have always been liars, vicious beasts, and lazy gluttons."- Paul here quotes Epimenides and even calls him a prophet
•Heb. 11:36-37 - Others endured mockery, scourging, even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, sawed in two, put to death at sword's point - reference to prophets being sawn in two is not found in the OT but in the Ascension of Isaiah 5:1-14, which is not in the Bible
•Jud.9 - Archangel Michael disputed with Satan over the body of Moses. That story ins not from the OT but from “the Ascension of Moses”
•Jud. 14-15 - Enoch, of the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied also about them when he said, "Behold, the Lord has come with his countless holy ones 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict everyone for all the godless deeds that they committed and for all the harsh words godless sinners have uttered against him."- Jude calls Enoch a prophet and quotes him, even though Enoch is not in the OT and not even in the deuterocanonicals

That´s why we Catholics do not understand why Protestants oppose Tradition, when there is no problem with it as long as there is a propoer authority (the Church) to validate it as the truth (1 Tim. 3:15 - But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.)

1 Cor. 11:2 - I commend you because you remember me in everything and hold fast to traditions I handed on to you,

2 Thess. 2:15 - Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours
