Whether or not it's provable...you must admit its magnificence. Why shouldn't I take a scientist's word over a two-thousand year old piece of literature? Your fight isn't with science, it's with people who lack blind adoration.

Okay then why shouldn't I take a scientist's word over a two-thousand year old piece of literature?

Discovering man's ancestor is not the basis of evolution. Learn more of the subject, don't just dismiss it all because of one aspect.

I agree with you! If they'd just listen and read the science, the facts, proven over and over again, rather than their religious leaders who run the corrupt churches, they'd know. But it means removing the blinders and having faith in something other than their unseen leader... and they can't have that.

Some people NEED religion like they need oxygen. It confuses and scares them to think outside that box.

Evolution would be beautiful if it were provable. Remember it was Darwin's theory of Evolution. It was not then nor ever has been proven to be fact! They've never found the missing link in the evolution of man. They've never found any thing to link the first creatures on the earth with the ones that exist today. If evolution started the whole thing then why and when did it cease to continue. There are just to many holes in this THEORY.
On the other hand, Why can't you see the beauty in what the Bible teaches. We were created in Gods image! It not only tells us what God is like but also who we are. He created every thing on this planet with our needs in mind and gave us the responsibility to take care of it. Now that is beauty!

You make an excellent point. Any computer programmer is familiar with the beauty of 1's and 0's resolving themselves from perfect simplicity into a picture, movie, song, or program. Evolution is the same thing - 4 key compounds and DNA give rise to infinite complexity. It's very beautiful.

I've often wondered that myself. Science and spirituality are not mutually exclusive. Science and the bible may be ... but not science and spirituality. For a well-considered perspective, read Carl Sagan. In "The Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark" he makes the point more eloquently than I ever could.

Oh its provable alright. Something has to be created before it can evolve.
Science is looking for the how was it done and can it be reproducible.rather than who caused it.

Whats beautiful about thinking we use to swing from trees and we evolved from monkeys? I have nothing against monkeys, but, none of my ancestors are monkeys.

Magnificent monkeys. I don't get how anyone with a brain would think we use to be monkeys. If so, then why are there still monkeys? Isn't is unfair that ALL monkeys didn't evolve? Whats with that?

Evolution, if it's true, has a very violent past. What's so beautiful about violence?

Because they DENY the TRUTH...they know in their hearts that it's the truth, but they are angry at science and deny it and the proof of it.
