I don't know. I never heard that Christians can't go to mental hospitals. I am a medical student and a Christian and I've gone to the Psych ward many times. They never stop me from going.
I've certainly seen many patients leave healed of their illness. Perhaps you are getting some bad information from someone.

just because some1 is in a mental hospital doesnt mean they are possessed by demons, and God will heal some1 only if they have faith and if He thinks he should, if He don't then He has his own reasons like it may not be in the best interest of that person to get healed right then

Many Christian churches do have healing ministries and many people visit mental patients to try to comfort them.
Why aren't Christians healing everyone of all kinds of diseases? That is the same question, isn't it?
I would say that if we really lived what we learn about at church (whichever church or religion), we would heal more.
Also many believe that healing can only come through the established medical means which causes them not to even consider healing through prayer.

Because not all people who are sick in the head are in mental hospitals. Some are on Yahoo Answers.

we are doing it...but your statement that they are possessed by demons is wrong. We even go to prisons and meet the inmates.

Even if a Christian did that, you still wouldn't believe. Jesus came to earth and did all kinds of miracles yet many did not believe. Your question sounds more like what Satan asked Jesus to do at the temptation "command that these stones be turned to bread"

Christians can not heal people. That gift was given only to the disciples. It died when they died. All these so-called faith healers have failed to do one thing that the disciples done in their time and that is raise the dead. So the gift is gone. However, I do believe in the power of prayer. But the final healing comes from God IF it is done. It has to be his will.

You are a demon! I pity your ignorance, do you have mental problems yourself? Go take your Prozac and tell your mother what you are saying in the Internet. I bet you she will be mad!!!!
