Sorry if you just read this, but this is so important to me I want as many responses as I can get, so...

I almost dropped the "L" word on the gf for the first time last night and in hindsight wish I would have. It was a very good/positive emotional moment. Question: should I wait for another similar moment or does it matter? Can I drop it out of the blue and still have a positive effect? I have told women I love them before (and thought I meant it), but have never felt anything close to what I feel for her now and want to get this right.

if you mean it, then i think just go with oyur gut and if you think the moment is right, say it. don't make a huge production or stress yourself out, go with your heart, thats what the entire situation is about in the first place!

You'll know when to tell her. Follow your instincts. My boyfriend hasn't gotten to "I love you" yet, since we've only been together a few weeks, but he went for it when we had our first kiss and it was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done and I will always remember it. Good luck!

wait for another special moment when you know you'll get a good response. that way, you wont catch her off guard and feel like an idiot if she responds awkwardly. it would just make things easier for you.

Saying "I love you" is putting yourself in the submissive role for the rest of your life.
Every man knows this. Women don't respect wimps.

Stiffen up, amigo.

I think any time would be a good time to really tell her how you feel....it doesn't matter when or where you tell her....as long as you do
