You have asked a very good question. The Bible says clearly in Romans, "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God..."
Romans 3:10-12 says "No one is good - no one in all the world is innocent. No one has ever really followed God's paths, or even truly wanted to. Everyone has turned away; all have gone wrong. No one anywhere has kept on doing what is right; not one."
We are ALL destined for hell/eternal death, but luckily God has made provision for our miserable condition through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for all our sins.
Hebrews 9:12, 26 says, "God paid a ransom to save you from the impossible road to heaven which your fathers tried to take, and the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver, as you very well know. But he paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God."

Religion does not say that bad people go to hell. It says that those who reject Christ and what he did for us will have no place with the Heavenly Father but those who accept Jesus Christ and keep the commandments will have eternal life. We choose if we are bad or good through our ways and actions but a follower of Christ will not let a sin in there life go without asking for forgiveness. A true follower will strive to keep there life sinless but this is not possible because we are born into sin because of Adam and Eve. God knew this, that is why he gave us his Son to die on the cross so that we could have a way out. We go to Heaven or Hell because we have the choice.

Not all religions even believe in hell. Some like the Buddhists believe in reincarnation and some African faiths find spiritual life in plants, animals, etc.
If you look at numbers, most people in the world are not Christians but I doubt if they are necessarily going to hell.

We all deserve to go to hell because we are all sinners. But I know that I'm going to heaven, even though I was born a sinner and deserve to go to hell. I know this because my sins have been washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Not believing in hell is not going to make it go away. It's an unpopular topic in some circles, but a reality. If there's a heaven, there's got to be a hell. But it was not made for us, and God doesn't want anyone to go there. That's why he sent his only son to die--so that we wouldn't have to go to hell.

Yes we all go to hell, because hell just means the grave, and we all are going to die. But the hope of a resurrection if we have faith and believe that Jesus died for our sins, is what counts.

Cool argument. I haven't actually heard that argument before, the only thing I can contradict in your argument is that all religions should be weighed equally in a person's mind.

For those who live in New York, you are already there, so congrats! Seriously, it is only a concern if there really is something as a life after death. Since I do not believe in life after death, concepts like hell hold no fear for me.

Maybe you should go learn something about religions before you make a fool out of yourself a second time.

Unless there's been a way made to take away the "badness" or sin of people. Think about it.
