everyone has that fear in some degree. actually if you are religious your minister or his wife might be able to help, tell your boyfriend and see if he has any suggestions, after all most social phobics cant even get a love life, so you are doing ok

iT SOUNDs as if u are social phobic; i am, too; i don't like to be in crowds; feel comfortable ONLY around one or two persons at a time; never liked to be in crowds. I'm bipolar, too. / i had a relative when i was young and he was young, too; he did not want me to watch him eat, so he'd stack 2 boxes of Corn Flakes on top of one another-- to block my view - so I could not see him eat! - hope u get some good answers HERE. // also I take Zyprexa and I'm still social phobic but not as badly as I was when I was off of it. I don't like going anywhere -but i have to go to Doc's and have to go to grocery & other stores cuz i don't wanna ask my daughter or anyone to go for me, cuz they have so much to do, already! best wishes!

Sounds like it, but it will get easier if you get some counseling and/or see your doctor. There is medication for anxiety. Take baby steps and try being more positive and open around people.

Based on severity, social anxiety may require counselling and medication. This can be overcome.

Try to keep the company of trusted people, people who care for you.
