Why does my ex-boyfriend who broke up with me 1.5 years ago when I moved away to college still call me? He has a new girl at home and tells me.."he is lonely" i don't think he wants to get back together because he has never mentioned it..he just always says he loves me...i am a corner in his life (i helped him get his career going)...and that he has strong emotions for me. we have talked every two weeks or so (he calls me) for the last two years and he comes to see me when i am in town. what are his intentions? i still love him and would love to get back together with him but never say it bc i get the vibe he wants me to have fun and enjoy college (i am seven years younger). GUYS: any advice on what my ex is thinking? why he keeps calling me? should i cut him off or not? will he ever call me again if i say i need time to be by myself and meet other people and that i hope we can become friends in the near future? guys..would this prevent you from ever calling again? any advice

yeah . . .this guy is thinking that since youve left theres been a lack of security in his life. he needs to know that he dosnt need you to make him feel secure

i know i felt the same about my gf of 4 years, i just needed someone to tell me that the loss of security was in my head

ex-boyfriend who broke up still call me...

OK

He has a new girl at home

doesn't sound serious. He needed someone to make out with, that's all.

he is lonely...he always says he loves me

He wants you back, but he has no life beoyond looking towards the day you will return and have him back. He will then still do little with his life. He;'s boring! You are getting interesting and he will bore you. YOu are reliving the past as if it';s the presnet. Let it go. You deserve better.

i still love him

I think you are in loive with the memory, not him.

i am seven years younger

and therfore, caught in illusion.
