This might sound gross but how often do you go to the bathroom. That diet can't be healthy for that. That could explain some of the stomach discomfort especially when bending.
Start drinking LOTS of water. You need to flush your system of all that fat and grease. Eat foods that contain soluble fiber. Lettuce can be very binding so make sure you mix in lots of other things with your salads. If you eat carbs make sure they are good carbs. Balance it out with protein. If you drink milk switch to low fat or skim.
173 at 5'4 doesn't really say much without knowing how you carry it. Yes, the BMI is technically obese but you could have gained muscle from the box moving at your job. Muscle always weighs more.
All those hours at work is cutting into your sleep and relaxation. Try to find some time during the day to just chill. Take a relaxing walk or read a book. If your body is in hyper mode all the time it will burn fat slower to keep you going longer.
To get started and get through the hunger pangs from cutting back on food, drink and drink. If you drink regular soda, switch to diet. Drink water, Crystal Light, even Iced Tea without the sugar. If you must have it sweetened I have found Splenda to be the best tasting.
Good luck and remember it takes time.

An easy thing to do is make sure you do not skip breakfast. Make it a practice to eat breakfast regularly. i went to a gym for about a year and although I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes of weight lifting 3 times a week I only lost 5lbs. after i stopped going to the gym I started eating breakfast instead of 2 meals a day and I lost 5lb more. I also drastically cut back on sodas in the last 5 months. I got a basic purifier for my kitchen tap and also a purifier pitcher and drink about 70% just water now and sometimes buy bottled green tea which has half the sugar of soda and even then i dilute it at least 50/50 with water for some taste. I have maintained my weight loss even though it has not been a lot. Now for the last 2 months i am on the treadmill twice a week and will soon go to 3times a week. That is more for my cardio exercise since I haven't exercised regularly for a while. i still eat what I want but smaller portions of any richer foods and don't eat meals late at night only a snack if I am hungry then. I am 46 and I am making decent progress. I won't go back to my old ways because I made up my mind not to and most of this is now a habit. It also helps that i feel better physically with a little more energy. I don't take any pills because i have never liked the idea of putting some chemical or drug into my body instead of doing what seems more natural so i can't help you there.

A very complex problem and a tough one to accept. Are you ready? Ok how much do you want to lose this "Tummy". You noticed a change when you started wight training right? (lifting and tossing) Are you willing to accept change? Do you think the caloric uptake choices you make are a factor? Would you belive adreanal burn out to be a factor? I'm still working on this one.. As you cooked your system in the past you'll need some help getting it back. rally talk to a natural/holistic nutritionalist in your area, (if they start giving you the soy thing leave, you need real food the your body can use and know what to do with) Or check out the source below. The Smoking is robbing your body of what it needs to work.

In the first place, try to cut out macdonalds. eat more fresh fruit and vegatables. Try to cut down on some of your work and have some time for yourself. Stress can also cause weight gain and fast food doesn't help. Smoking may be telling more on you than you think. Mainly just get where you feel good about yourself. You might just be a big person and as long as you are healthy and not hurting/ That is the main thing.

Well, watch what you eat. The reason why you have weight in your tummy is because of the fast food. Try eating salads, Subway and healthy fast food. Drink lots of water too. You need to excercise too. I don't see how you could be anorexic and bilemic.... I mean they are completely opposite. You weren't eating, but you were throwing up. You can't throw up anything without eating something. It is hard to bend over because your tummy is in the way. And the out of breath thing is due to smoking and not excercising. You may be young but if you don't change your excercise and diet habits, you may have bigger problems before long.

~First of all~
Congrats on overcoming your eating disorders!!!
Try eating normal healthy foods, but do not leave out any of the food groups! WalMart has a good selection in the deli (I used to work there too!) You can get a pretty good sized meal for about $5 and it's a whole lot healthier than McD's. You could even grab some fruit or veggies from the produce section & take them to the break room! WalMart has so many more options than just McDs!
I have heard that you shouldn't eat after 6pm if you want to lose weight as well, because night time is when your body uses up it's fat supply, for example... ignore the urge to snack at night, because you need to give your body a chance to use that fat rather than put more fat in!

hey, congrats on overcoming your eating disorder.
In fact, i'm still recovering, meaing that i'm eating normal meals now but in smaller portions and i'm still terribly afraid to gain weight.
Anyway, if you're such a big fast food fan, you could still stick to fast food such as mcdonalds but pick healthier choices such as the fillet O Fish which i believe has less saturated fat than the others. Do some research over the internet and you'll be able to compare the nutritional values of the foods they serve.
Btw, i just discovered that Subway is awesome. You should check it out sometime. They serve wicked sandwiches!!
And cut back on your smoking bit by bit cos that may be the main reason why you feel this way..good luck!!

It's good that you are conscious about your weight. Nutritionally speaking, your Desirable Body Weight i.e. your optimal healthy weight is 138 lbs for your height. Right now you are 173 pounds and to obtain your Desirable Body weight, you should shed off 35 lbs. The nutritionally acceptable weight lost is only 2 lbs per week so that means you can SAFELY obtain your DBW in 18 weeks.
What then will you eat in the next eighteen weeks? I really want to help you with what to eat but the information you posted restricts me to do so. If you are interested send me a msg so that I can help you further.

alright well first off you need to quit smoking, second off start packing your food and not eat mcdonalds. Do not take pills they are bad for you heart, also it is a smart idea to see you doctor and have some tests done to make sure everything is ok. My friend was unable to loose weight and then she found out that Cysts on her ovaries which was affecting her weight loss. Anyway cut your bad habits and have an annual checkup. Start a healthy life and everything else should fall into place.

Its not really an issue of HOW MUCH you eat.
Its WHAT you eat.
Eating mostly McDonalds or any fast food is NOT healthy.
That is why you have trouble losing weight.
You should start eating a healthier diet:
Greens, vegetables, fruit, whole grains, in addition to dairy and meat. It sounds like you are getting exercise through your job, and that's good. Its the McDonalds that's doing you in.
