I just finished playing a game online and was called names and the attitude from 2 players was awful. I just recently stopped crying from the name calling. Any comments on how i should have handled it better. I am too sensitive!

some people live to be rude and hateful....i asked a question just for fun a few months ago, and you wouldn't believe the hateful responses i got....people are rude because their parents apparently never taught them any manners....but of course with shows like "American Idol" where making rude and belittling remarks towards someone seems to be the name of the game, why would we expect anything remotely resembling civility when playing or chatting or interacting at all with anyone online? next time the name calling starts, stop playing the game and report them to yahoo....it may not help, but it might make you feel a little better...hang in there...some people are just not worth getting upset about, consider the source and ignore them....

I have met ppl like that before in games. Generaly, i ask them what the problem is. Sometimes i learn about me, most the time i learn more about them. Either way i learn, and am better for it.
Another option is to only play games that allow you to attack other player's characters for any offense, real or imagined. just make sure you keep it to the gamepieces, not the beast behind the machine.

I find playing games online can be frustrating because people do say some awful things. People are not man/women enough to say things to your face, but it easy being an azzhole online.
You could get into a name calling contest, ignore them, or sign off. I usually ignore them.

Sounds like you were playing spades. But My question is this. Why did you stay in the game? Were the points that important to you? Just tell them to kma and put them on Ignore. I would have loaded a java booter and disconnected them from the internet. But I never said I was nice lol

Sweetie, you need to develop thicker skin. Remember, approximately 80 percent of the people online at this time on a Saturday night are losers with no friends and no real social skills (you and I, of course, fall into the other 20 percent). Don't let them bother you with their idiotic rantings. You're better than they are. I don't take it personally when the monkeys at the zoo toss ****. Don't take it personally when the monkeys online toss insults. ;-)

Most of the time it's not people who are rude. This the way they would have behaved all their life. The key point for us not to get disappointed is if we feel that they are rude to us just try to ignore what has been said or also you can try to find out what's positive from that. Sometimes criticism also helps.

a few more people need to get busted in the nose these days! like the little asses that run the schools and i dont mean the teachers.i am 30, and in my day we got things called swats, anyone remember those? now a day you cant do sh*t to take up for yourself but tell.........bull sh*t !! people need to know that they could be held responsible for there actions or comments. sometimes its worth it. im about to tag someone my damn self. so defend y o u r s e l f !!!! at least tell them off.

You should have told them you know who they really are and are going to call their mother! When online people are rude to me, I just have fun with them or sign off. That's too petty for you to cry about. Loosen up!

Don't play online anymore and you won't have to worry about people calling you names. However, if two of them were calling you names maybe you did something to elicit the name calling.

The next time you play and it starts off with this rudeness. Just sign off quickly and dont bother reading what rude people got to say. I view people like that as idiots and I dont listen to idots.
