I change the bandage every few hours and it is always covered in blood. The wound is not very big and I dont think it is very deep. It doesnt really bleed that much just a little bit but it still hasnt stopped. I cleaned it with peroxide and cold water.

Put pressure on it until it stops bleeding. Then keep the bandage on for awhile, and don't change it but once or twice a day. It's possible that the frequent changing of the bandage is keeping the clot from staying there. If it won't quit bleeding, it may need stitches. You might want to see a doctor to make sure. You also might want to put some antibiotic ointment on it to keep it from getting infected.
Hope this helps!

Ok, no more peroxide. It's time for some bacitracin . Peroxide is irritating it and if it is a surface wound and has cut a lot of small capillaries it will cause it to bleed and not form a scab, which it needs to do. Leave it alone for a day after putting ointment on it. Then change bandage and let air at it as long as you can while at home. Good luck.

Try getting a cold washcloth. Put it against the cut and push hard for about 10 minutes. That will stop the bleeding. Are you taking an blood thinners? Aspirin? Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)? Do you consume a lot of alcohol? Any of these will slow down your clotting time. If after holding pressure for 20 minutes it is still bleeding you may need stitches or cauterization. Then you would need to see your doctor.

If you got the cut last night that means it's been bleeding several hours and therefor it must be deep enough to need a stitch or 2. Go to the ER and take care of it. In the mean time, apply pressure to the wound.

even though the medical training that i have tells me to say otherwise i still prefer the old fashion remedies.... take a onion and peal the thin almost transparent skin back and place it over the wound.then tomarrow after you change the dressing PUT SOME NEOSPORIN TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC on the bandage NOT ON THE WOUND so that when you take your dressing off it does not pull the scab off with the dressing!! that could be your problem is you keep opening up the wound when you change your bandage keeps bleeding after that contact me thru my profile and i'll see what else i can do...

If you cut it last night and are STILL bleeding, you may need a stitch or 2, so I'd go to the ER. Keeping ice on it will vasoconstirct, or close/tighten the small injured tisses and decrease bleeding as well.

Do not change the bandage so often, it could be the leading cause of the continuation of bleeding. Apply Pressure and hopefullyt it goes away, otherwise you might need to go see someone.

must need a stitch. go to your gp nurse, or outpatients dept. I wouldnt of cleaned it with peroxide, be careful what you put on open wounds. Sounds like you need stitch and dry dressing.

Take a vitamin E capsule and poke a hole in it and drip the oil on your wound. It's an old fashioned remedy in place of stitches! It works.

try a pressure bandage, put something like coban on it, and keep it clean. I would also put some triple antibiotic ointment on it. If it continues, or gets red around it, or warm to touch go to doctor.
