This is a real pet peeve of mine. It is the least you can do. Especially if you want to be taken seriously.

Maybe I won't say no one. Of course a lot of people can spell, but those that can't. It really doesn't hurt to use it.

People are lazy and want to get their response posted as quickly as possible ... even when it really doesn't take that long.

The question might be more answerable if you were to turn it around. "When posting questions, why do people not use the spell check Yahoo offers for use?"
The answer? It's the same as the most prevalent problem in our society: not caring about doing something well. Do it any old way and get away from it.

when posting a question, you can only spell check the first part. you cant use spell check on the main body of a question. why is that?
