I know what you mean. I am 25 now & have never been able to make friends with kids in my classes. The few friends I have never been to the same school as me! Now, I just try to say Hi to a few people when I'm out & see what I get back. Most people are ***holes to strangers any more, so I just think I must live in a bad city? Ha ha ha... I am thinking of making a club for people wo just want to meet once a year & let thier hair down, so to speak, & just have fun with strangers. I know it can happen & I want to be the one who does it!

If you are not an extrovert, you can't change. Forget the bar scene. Form a study group. Join a club that you are interested in. For example, the Sierra Club, Young Democrats. Ask someone in your classes for coffee and to study together. I'm an introvert and went to bars trying to meet women. All I met were drunks. I would have been better off studying and doing well in school. If you're successful, everybody wants to be your friend.

You have to know someone right? Even if you don't find someone in one of your classes you relate too. Start hanging out with them, the more you two get to be buddies then you'll start hanging out with this person's friends and intern you will make friends. You just have to make yourself be outgoing.

Maybe you should go out for a sport or something. That always help. Maybe you could hang around other people.
