Instead of dwelling on the negative or sad points in my life, I think of all the things I am grateful for:
I'm not colorblind (I was looking at the beautiful blue sky and green leaves today); I have 2 arms and 2 legs...that work; I am not deaf or blind; I can walk; I can talk; I have a brain that works (usually!); I have a house to live in; I have enough food to eat; I have clothes to wear; I have a car...that runs; I live in a house with running water, electricity and indoor plumbing; I don't have any serious health problems; I have a family that loves me; I've never been in an abusive relationship...
You get the idea...I just think of how lucky I am to have what I have, knowing that there are people (a lot of people) who are suffering because they don't have a home or indoor plumbing, etc. Obviously, I am grateful for all of the 'extras' too, like my computer, cable TV, DVD player, etc. But I think more about the people who don't even have the basics and, although I feel bad for those people, it makes me realize how much I do have and it makes me happy.

When I saw this question on the home page my first thoughts were Logan and Jordan, my sons they are why my life is so great. Then you wanted an inspiritonal quote and i didn't have one but I still had to answer because your family can and should be one of the MANY reasons life is great.

wow, hang on... did you just say life is great? What have you been smoking? take a look at the world around you! this isn't great! its ****** up!!! (sorry for swearing) but it is! do you have any idea what you are talking about? take a step back and lets think of all the 'wonderful' things that have happened in this world, eg... Columbine High massacre, Hitler, war, famine, suicide, terrorism, murders, illness, natural disasters, car/plane crashes, mental illness, pain, suffering, evil, the devil (and don't ****'n tell me he doesn't exist coz hell i can prove otherwise!!!)
um... so yeah, don't telll me that life is great, just because YOUR life is great! Not everyone in this world is happy! but wouldn't it be great if we could all be as happy and optimistic as you!

Find meaning for yourself in every experience you go through (lessons learned that might not have been learned otherwise), accept them for what they are and appreciate them despite any pain they might also bring you in the meantime, and if necessary, change your life for the better as a result of them.
Also, remember that difficult times are challenges for us to better ourselves, and are short phases in a long lifetime.
If we want what we have, we will always have what we want.

Life is "Wonderful" because I get to "meet" people such as yourself who care enough to try to cheer others up. As long as we have folks who care genuinely about others, I think we'll be ok and will survive as we currently know the human race.

Everyone has the choice to make their life what they want to. You don't need money, success, fame...you have the freedom and ability to throw out any and all negativity and only accept those people and things that are positive.
