God never abandons his own. He has a covenent with them that is as true today as it was when he made it.

However, he did send Paul and other apostles to teach them of the Salvation, some of them believed and some did not.

The bible does say that one day every tongue wil confess that Jesus CHrist is Lord.

Romans is a great book to read if you are interested in the Jewish relationship after the crucifixion. Paul explains fully how they can choose to continue living under the Law, but will fail and have no redemtion, or they can chose redemption through Jesus Christ.

He also states how God has chosen to keep the eyes closed to the truth of some. Why? I am not sure, but I am sure that it has to do with the end times and what needs to happen during that time.

Why would God abandon the Jews for following His Plan of Salvation? I think the 6 day war was God's imprimature on the modern state of Israel. The clock is running, folks! "This generation shall not pass away before all these things occur". Anyone want to guess who the Antichrist and the False Prophet are?

I do not know that he turned His back on them as a whole per se, but He was plenty angry. He rent the veil in two: the veil was placed before the altar to separate the common peple from the high priest who was to be in charge of sin sacrifices. He caused all manner or storms and damaged the temple pretty good. And I believe he is still punishing them to some extent today because they still refuse to believe that Jesus was the Messiah and filled all of the prophesies related to the Messiah. That is why He allowed the Gentile to have grace as well as the Jew.

God most certainly did not abandon them. After God was crucified He rose from the dead to show all the world, including the Jews, that there was life in Him, Jesus Christ. He gave His apostles the Holy Spirit and commissioned them to spread salvation to the Jews and to the rest of the world.

Salvation is God's ultimate love for humanity. It was and is offered to all people, including the Jews. In this way God has abandoned nobody. This gift of love is for all at any point in their life.

jason s,
No, God has not abandoned the Jews. In fact, there are prophecies concerning the Jews that are yet unfulfilled. Jesus will come back, That's the second coming, to Israel, and there will be more to see about that.

Check out: Ezekiel 38, 39. Zechariah 14. Those are just a few places where God makes it clear that He will return to them, and they will recognize Him then.

May i tell another tale.
Jesus wanted to control temple mount and the people in control of the temple told Gov.Pilate to crucify Jesus.Pilate interviewed Jesus and washed his hands. But the priests still insisted on calcification.Pilate was a Political man he did not want an uprising at hand. so he faked the calcification and when every body was ordered to go home he ordered the executioner to bring down Jesus from the cross. He was given medical treatment and after recovery was told to go toward EAST.He went to Kashmir in India and lay-ed the foundation of Srinagar. The meaning of Srinagar is The City of the Lord. The Grave of Jesus is Located inside holy mosque of HAZRAT ROZA BAL.And it is still there today .this is an Oak Covered grave on which it is clearly written in YIDDISH that this is the grave of lord ISA the real name of Jesus.the oak cover has been carbon dated to be 2000 years old.The Ahmedi sect Indian professor who did all this research was not given the permission to open the grave because of riots by people.A neighboring city by the name of muree is in Pakistan and is named after Mother Mary.

God will never forsake his remnant. Please do NOT listen to anyone who puts forth any form of "replacement theology", such as "da chet" above me. He is among the deceived.

God does not lump all Jews into the same "heart" category. Y'shua was Jewish, his twelve disciples were Jewish, likely the other 70 disciples were Jewish. After Y'shua was crucified and then was raised from the dead, his preachers were Jews! After Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, 3,000 were added to the church - likely most if not all were Jews.

God didn't have a "reaction" exactly to the Jews. The Jews...Israel, are God's chosen people. He has special covenants with them. Jesus' death was a new covenant for all people. Jesus and God both knew that Jesus was born to go to the cross. It's not like it was a surpise and God was like "Those dang Jews!" No. Jesus had to die, it was the only way.

Paul the Apostle of Jesus wrote around 54 A.D in Romans 11:1 and on...."I say then has Godcast away Hus people Israel?Certainly not!For I also am the seed of Abraham,of the tribe of Benjamin.God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew."
See, it isn't "did the Jews kill Jesus or was it the Romans?"
Jesus came to die,it was his purpose to die and then resurrect to prove what He said was true.It was ALL of our sins that killed Jesus ,past ,present and future. There is no blaming the folks of the 1rst century.
