Start with a compliment. But not something cheesy like "You have a nice A$$". Go for something original like "your smile is so incredible that I just had to come over to you and say hello and introduce myself".
Also, try mirroring her mood and body movements. This will sub-consciously make her think that you have a natural rhythm with her. For example, if she is standing with her body facing away from you, then you should stand with your body facing away from her. If she touches her shoulder, you should touch your shoulder and so on.
Keep the conversation light and if she's not feeling you, get the clue and move on.

Fresh, you have to listen to others, read the news, know what is going on in and out of school or work. When you know what is going on convesation comes easy:
"What's up?"
"Do I know you?"
"Oh, yeah, sorry, it's Fresh...from Algebra. Man I have trouble with that stuff."
"Sure. I know you. You sit back in the corner close to the door. Why back there?"
"Like I said, math is my hardest subject and I just kinda don't want to be in the teacher's radar."
"I have some time, why don't you let me get you started on the homework and you can pick it up from there."
-Or-
"Whassup?"
"Not my day. Whas u doing? Hey, you're that guy that streaked the school last week. Cool. Nice stuff u got"
"Wanna private show?"
"Sure. Over there. Make it quick"
"I know whassup now."
In the first one you come off as a human being, unsure of himself and being truthful about math difficulty. The girl comes off as a sweet, smart, helpful girl and she offers to help. Nice.
In the second one you come off as an oaf, monosyllabic. She comes off as a dimwit with sex on the brain. He and she go to a corner of the building and she gets a showing. So what? They are both losers. Also, the principal came around the corner and caught them and they are both expelled.
You have to be yourself, know what is going on and the conversation comes naturally.

One of life's greatest mysteries... ask about a current/school event, the weather, any sort of random thing. But a really good one is "So what's new with you?" which is answered by "not much" and then you have to say what's new with you and go from there. And that is why people say doing a lot of activities and things helps with women.

first of all you dont say "whats up" to a girl you should say " hey", then you should ask her questions like what type of music do you listen to or something like that
