back in the 50's to 60's it was still taboo for a white woman and blakc man, back then.
but now it is cool for a white woman to be with a black man. hip even.
so is the trend for asian guys beginning as well?
so that 10 years from now, maybe, it'll be a common thing?

I don't know about white women and Asian men--I've only seen it on occasion, but I know on TV and in real life I see so much of white women being with black men. I am starting to see white men and spanish women on occasion. Where I live, I also see a lot of black and hispanic couples too. I see a black woman and white man sometimes. I see black and asian every now and then too. I know there are definitely really attractive Asian women and some hot Asian men out there too. I once saw this Asian man who was so handsome and he had a beautiful ponytail and an attractive body... I wanted to get to know him and explore his mind and good qualities (hopefully being eyecandy wasn't all he had to offer) but I did not have the courage because as confident as I am-I do have my moments of self doubt. {I've had someone tell me my skin reminded him of a perfectly fried piece of chicken with a golden tint at a restaurant...I guess...he was probably hungry. I am sure my skin looks like milk chocolate or coffee with cream--brown I guess. Plus I am a beautiful black woman but I have had personal experiences with men who do not like dark-skinned women so that is probably why I did not approach that beautiful Asian man.} I've also been attracted to some handsome white men, some Latino men, some italian men... I think that being apart of and contributing to America's huge melting pot has been, is still, and will continue to be a trend. I doubt if a majority of white woman will be with asian men--just some. In the next ten years, some of everybody will be with some of everybody (I think some people love being with 'exotic' people or they fall in love with everything about a certain person who happens to be of another race/culture), but some will be with only those in their own culture/race. Maybe... but racial stereotypes still exist. So the racial stereotype about black men is that they have large... parts. And you know the one about asian men obviously... Women are a little reluctant to date asian men. Half asian kids actually do look very pretty, but it's mainly the stereotype about the you know... I think it will be much harder to overcome. Not that I don't see it, but asian men usually have to have an AMAZING personality and sense of humor and career and so on.

Difficult to answer since many cultures are mingling and it is getting more and more difficult to trace "pure" ancestries.
Anything can happen, though more than just white women will be chasing any sort of men since women will outnumber men within 20 years according to population projections.

My opinion is that people today are better educated and more real than in the 50's and 60's. Today, I believe people want to more so know what you are about, your potential, etc. as opposed to your skin color. Regardless of what your skin color is, if a person turns you off, for whatever reason, they turn you off.I'm a black man, and I disagree with what you've said about it being hip for a white woman and black man to be together. I can't speak for all black men, but what's hip to me is when I meet a female who is on the same page with me, regardless of her race. As my Elders taught me. TO EACH HIS OWN!!

i think so..
but i also think part of the problem is asian men/families not wanting their men to marry outside of the race.
i am a white chick and i think asian guys are hot. i would definitely date one and more. :)
gen-x and gen-y are more tolerant of other cultures than previous generations. they're also rasing their children to be just as tolerant and permissive. so i think between this generation and the next few, we will see a rise in interracial relationships/marriages.
