yeah it sucked. Penn needs to do some cardio. Penn did great first 2 rounds though. almost had Hughes in a triangle end of 2nd. 3rd rd came and Penn looked like standing took much effort.

Matt Hughes won the fight on superior conditioning and will. BJ did a great job in the first two rounds of avoiding Matt's takedown attempts and landed some hard shots to Hughe's head. At the end of the second round BJ had Matt in trouble with an arm bar and a triangle, but Hughes was saved by the bell.
At the end of the second round BJ looked gassed as he returned to his corner. At the beginning of the third round Matt came out strong and was landing punches to BJ's face. BJ looked to tired to keep his hands up to defend. They went to the ground, Matt was in BJ's half guard and pounded his faced with fists and elbows until the fight was stopped by Big John McCarthy.

TKO in the 3 minutes of the 3rd round, the fight was stopped, apparently BJ hadn't done too much of a Cardio workout to keep up with the pace of the match.
I'd say that BJ gassed out around the end of the 2nd and Matt was able to finally take control in the 3rd and win the match.

He was outstriking a gassed Penn in the third round. It went to the ground and Matt dominated until referee Big John McCarthy stopped it.
