There was a recent study about names and promotions in the business world. People with names that other people cannot pronounce are passed over when promotions are handed out in private industry. So, do you kids a favor, and name them with names that other people can pronounce.

isnt there a limit to how many names to be on the birth certificate? when at the hospital, filling out the initial birthing forms, i believe there are only 2 slots, so i guess anyone could just create long names, but noone else would really know about them.

Is that how they are spelling the first name? I have never seen it spelled like that. I have seen it spelled Allison, but still a pretty name.

You should avoid really long names...
...what about when she has to take the SATs?
That would take forever to fill in all those little dots.

Either one of those would work, but please talk them into giving your niece a nickname...Poor girl, she'd have it rough in pre-school otherwise!
